Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Hey guys! I am just popping in real quick to say (1) I have my sweetheart back home safe (huge relief) and (2) if you have emailed me (and yes, bonny, i r me!), THANK YOU and I will be returning the emails tomorrow.

I need some time with my sweetie, but I did not want you wonderful people to think I was ignoring you. I am just wiped.

Til tomorrow!

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

yay strix! I don't know what all has been going on, but sounds like relief is a good thing.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Strix, I hope having your honey home gives you the strength to get everything on steadier ground. Love to you both!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Yay, strix!

Thanks for the ~ma earlier, everyone. I was reading on my iphone, and it did help. The pain has eased off a bit, but I'm having a packing meltdown tonight. I'm tired from not sleeping last night, and I just can't seem to find anything because of the move, including my kindle, which I'm sure I put somewhere safe. I just can't figure out where that safe place would be. And to top it all off the memory card that I bought at Target today doesn't fit into my camera.

I'm trying to convince myself that I should be in a good mood tonight, but it just isn't working for me.

Our wings are not tired.

It is good to hear strix has her honey home!

Evening with the landlord was awesome and wine filled. He insists on coming over to demonstrate fine Indian cuisine. He lives to cook, which I knew from my kitchen. Hours of lively political debate, which is a pleasure of mine. He is British and grew up in Kuwait, so knowledgable. He lives in a marina very close to here and insisted that absolutely any time we want to travel he will be happy to housesit and take care of dog, cat, fish, plants, whatever. He did say he might enjoy partying with my kids too. ( he is near 70, and understands why they aren't the best house sitters). Great evening.

Yay strix!

Went and spent All The Money on more fabric. But most of it doesn't match because I'm having a migraine and couldn't brain. Argh. Just took some flexeril and will go to bed, meantime watching Top Model finale because that takes zero brain.

Your landlord sounds awesome, Laura!

Vortex, sounds like time for more elliptical, and slower buildup on the walking when you go back to it. Rowing machine?

meara - May 31, 2012 7:48:44 pm PDT #14549 of 30001

OK, wow, apparently I was seriously jacked up, because I'm not in pain anymore, but I'm also barely feeling the usual "zonked and can't move a muscle" feeling of the flexeril. Whoah.

..so of course I'm taking advantage of the somewhat unexpected awake time to watch last night's SYTYCD.

Compassionately intolerant

Get your stuff out of her attic and end any other entanglements she may have in your life, is my strong suggestion. I've had "friends" like that before. Sometimes they decide to "punish" you for your infidelity by not giving you your stuff back. YCrazyPersonMV, of course.

Totally this. Fortunately, her son...who was a 'ward' of mine for many years...is grown enough that he doesn't need me anymore. I'm sure she will make not speaking to me a condition of his good favor.

Honestly, if she did trash what I have in her attic, I would be sad but not overly bothered. She'll punish me by talking smack to the neighbors, none of which will care much, I imagine.

Strix, yay for relief and absolutely no hurry in getting back to me. I imagine you have a lot on your mind.

Laura, how wonderful! I wish I had more opportunities for that kind of intellectual/culinary evening. My landlord is great for advising me on wine gifts, but he's no cook!

sj, I hope you are able to get some rest and that you find everything you need.

I'm currently pissed with myself for allowing this emotional crap to rob me of sleep. Or maybe it was the caffeine I drank too late in the day...in any case, bad Bonny, NO BISCUIT.

not your mom's socks.

Let me get this straight. She claimed not to have said something, pretty much so she could say it again? That's ... Like two not-really-your-friend friends for the terrible price of one. I wish you didn't have to deal with that kind of nastiness, Bonnie.
