Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I'm just sayin', I appreciate the sacrifice of a night of sleep.

Glad I went to GP. She prescribed a different AB more effective against staph, which is the likely culprit around here. Now at pharmacy waiting for them to verify coverage, oy.

Yay doctor!! Good job, babe.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

She is adorbs. Tiny and curly haired, and had a gentle giant of a 3rd yr med student with her, and as soon as she heard what they prescribed she grimaced, rolled her eyes, and asked him, "Now why is that not a good choice for this?"

Unfortunately, my insurance re-up hadn't processed, so the AB alone was $81 dollars (and it's an old one! why is there no cheap generic? is that the cheap generic?), which means I passed on the Percocet. Doc friend said I could take IB instead.

I am cranky and tired and pissed that my financials are being derailed (not just for doc stuff, but for missing today and if they work tomorrow - may see if I can put in some admin hours this weekend), so I'm eating a snack, taking my meds, applying moist heat as directed, and then napping/reading.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Hope I didn't miss anyone...

Now, to re-greyify for end-of-month drama here.

Catch y'all on the flip side, {{{all y'all}}} [except, of course, those who prefer not].

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

smonster, so gkad you have nice GP AND that you went to ER last night.

Based on peeps advice to me, tell your folks, but downplay it, and emphasize your awesome friends, esp. Nora, who are there for you.

Strix is [redacted] And yo, anyone who wants to know, feel free to e me! I have an explanation all typed out I have been pasting; only reason I'm not sharing...well, I'm sure you understand, given the name change! But y'all my buds; I don't mind sharing and y'all know I am nosy as hell. I'd be e-ing peeps, if the shoe be on the other foot!

Pix, ugh, How frustrating!I hope he becomes someone else's good teacher/eneregy suck.

Good thoughts to all who need them, and I hereby banish sinus pain! BOOM WOOSH ABRACADABRA!

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Smonster, if culprit is likely minor puncture wound from work, can you file workers comp?

(this is why I tell my employees to fill out accident reports)

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Strix, incoming in a few. For lo, I am nosy and concerned. And sorry for the unneeded tsuris.

smonster, glad you got to the ER. Nora, grateful to you for being troops on the ground. Fie on lack of sleep. smonster, poop on stupid lack of coverage, but it's good you have effective treatment. And yes, let your folks know but downplay it, promise to keep them informed, and reassure them you have friends at the ready should you need them.

Pix, I'm sorry about all the goings-on at work, and for it all keeping you awake. Need your sleep. May it improve.

sj, have a good time at the wedding, and try not to worry about the house.

Laura, I have the most adorable visual of you in pjs and bunny slippers, glasses on your nose and coffee mug in hand, giving the database whatfor in inimitable style. Shape up, computer stuff!

Steph, I don't get it. They'll poke holes in you for migraine, but they won't let you drill one teeny hole in your skull? How is this fair? Also, may Chatty pick up the necessary quickly so you can escape and rest your poor hurting head.

Me news: I found a gorgeous vintage pot in wonderful shape, and now I'm wondering, does anybody know a good method for removing years of accrued tea stain from silverplate?

...nah, that's it. Be well, fellow citizens.

omnis, I'm an independent contractor right now. Plus, have no idea what caused it - no visible punctures or scrapes on that hand at this time.
