So glad that smonster got to the doctor.
Teppy - you so deserve better.
Bittersweet day for me: I have a work friend who is retiring today. I'm very excited for her but I'm going to miss her.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I don't think I expressed in font how grateful I was to see Nora being there for smonster. As I scrolled through all the posts from last night I thought it plenty of times!
Teppy, I hope the migraine storm breaks soon, so it can be done and over with.
I'm so glad you went to the emergency room, smonster. I know I'm bad to notice something, but then talk myself out of seeing a doctor.
smonster, holy crap!!!! Blood poisoning! I hope everything turns out all right. Please keep us posted!
Thanks, Nora, for taking smonster to the ER.
migraine ~ma to Teppy, and all kinds of ~ma to Strix, and I hope you get some rest, Pix, and hugs all around.
Ah, smonster, I'm not complaining! No need to apologize.
a doctor's office that is open for 2 hours?
Seriously. Is this the 1400s or something?
Only if they do house calls for the rest of the day.
Glad to hear they identified the problem, and you are on course for clearing it. Big Caffiene hugs for Nora (sounds good in my head, but hey, still gronked). Thank you for being the hero last night. I hope today goes easy on you, and your end of day meeting is cancelled.
Teppy, boo on migraine not leaving. I hope it moves on soon.
Pix, how you doing? Did you manage any sleep.
OK, off to work. Heading in early today. woot? eh. no. Blargh. So want summer break to start.
I'm just sayin', I appreciate the sacrifice of a night of sleep.
Glad I went to GP. She prescribed a different AB more effective against staph, which is the likely culprit around here. Now at pharmacy waiting for them to verify coverage, oy.
Yay doctor!! Good job, babe.
She is adorbs. Tiny and curly haired, and had a gentle giant of a 3rd yr med student with her, and as soon as she heard what they prescribed she grimaced, rolled her eyes, and asked him, "Now why is that not a good choice for this?"
Unfortunately, my insurance re-up hadn't processed, so the AB alone was $81 dollars (and it's an old one! why is there no cheap generic? is that the cheap generic?), which means I passed on the Percocet. Doc friend said I could take IB instead.
I am cranky and tired and pissed that my financials are being derailed (not just for doc stuff, but for missing today and if they work tomorrow - may see if I can put in some admin hours this weekend), so I'm eating a snack, taking my meds, applying moist heat as directed, and then napping/reading.
