Great news, omnis!
DH's family could have hated me. I was this twice before married woman 11 years older than their college age baby. But they never challenged his decision. They welcomed me and treated me like their own daughter from day one. My MIL is closer to my age than DH. I'm grateful we are close.
Ok, fair warning, big old awwww stuff ahead. So I was driving home from the grocery store and DH was driving to the office to pick up stuff. I'm admiring an awesome rainbow when my phone rings with DH's ringtone. I answer, "did you see the rainbow?" And he replies, "I was just calling you to tell you to check out the rainbow!" Awwwww.
Yikes, Erin. Surgery~ma headed your way.
Awwww. Matilda would be so jealous. She's desperate to see a real rainbow.
Surgery~ma, Erin. No cast is a blessing, anyway.
Today was okay, Bev, but now that I'm back on chemo, it's obvious that it's the main thing that's kicking my ass.
Awww, rainbows.

I hope the chemo kicks more cancer ass.
I talked to my dad today and he sounded pretty good today. He's going to lose his hair from radiation but not his beard. I told him Sean Connery is a good look.
P-C, the guy at my Trader Joe's was just bemoaning that he had to call and tell his mom that his wife was pregnant. Turns out HE AND HIS WIFE are thrilled. It's his mom who won't be happy that the spouses of nine years are expecting a baby. I told him that was her problem, not his. But that I was sorry. And congratulations. No idea why this made me think of you. None. Except sometimes parents are wrong.
Matilda has never seen a rainbow?! Oh, wow, that is really strange! I promise she will one day. Has she seen rainbows from crystals' refraction of light? Those are pretty cool, and might tide her over.
Ginger, hon, I am sorry you are feeling ass-kicked.

I done good with that one; my heart gave a little pitty-pat of simple pleasure, unadulterated by anything but love. I am so glad I have splendid friends that allow hom to experience something clean and simple and lovely, and I hope those summer visits will be a memory he treasures all his life. He may only be a little bit my boy, but he is MY boy. And that little bit makes me very happy indeed.
Oh, and I found my family a great dog breeder, with a bitch due to whelp in 5 days, and they put a deposit on a bitch pup today. YAY!
To get a rainbow, take a garden hose, and make it mist on a sunny day. Ya might have to change your position between sun/mist to see the rainbow. Not a big one, but its a rainbow. And, on a hot summer day, feels good too!
His mom and SD got him a tiger sponsorship at the local zoo (he is crazy about big cats, and it is a great gift)
Sometimes she's way beyond my ken, but that is a cool gift. Made cooler that a 10-year-old thinks it's a cool gift. Happy birthday, M!

I don't care what it really means, that sounds nasty.
But yay for a new puppy!
