Zoe: What's that, sir? Mal: Freedom, is what. Zoe: No, I meant what's that? Mal: Oh. Yeah. Just step around it. I think something must've been living in here.

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I vote bath, sj.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I vote dessert.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I think bath is going to win because there is suddenly loud music coming from the bar area, and I just can't deal with noise tonight. Maybe room service. Sadly, I can't take the internets with me back to the room because they want ridiculous money to do that.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

What hotel are you staying at in Edinburgh, sj?

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

More on puppy boy - I feel like I may be dealing with a prime example of the "self-esteem" generation. He doesn't want to have to try, he only wants to do what he wants to do, and he takes everything very, very personally. Add in his inability to focus and his hair trigger temper (has gotten a bit better), and it's no wonder none of his coworkers want to work with him. Except maybe the one he's dating, and her I'm not sure about.

Did I mention I caught him sketching on the clock yesterday?

That karma, she is a tooootal bitch. I may need to call up my old boss and ask her advice.

Our wings are not tired.

Best of luck, my sister in the struggle.

Thank you. I need it.

Bath sounds like a good plan. Not a dessert person, but a drink would be good with the bath.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I am for real trying to figure out how to apply dog training techniques.

You need a pocket full of cookies.

Our wings are not tired.

Seriously, puppy boy totally sounds like my 19yo. Sigh.

Kathy, The Point, which is in a really good location, but it just sort of ok. The breakfast is buffet, mostly good, but this is the first place we stayed where you can't get the staff to bring you an actual pot of tea, and have to make a cup yourself. The food at dinner was good but nothing special and the atmosphere is kind of boring. The 20 pounds a day for internet in your room is a huge negative for me, but they're trying to get out of the contract, and there are other places along the street with free wifi.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I ended up buying a pair of the Gallifreyan earrings. There was a silver-toned pair.
