Ugh Pix, that does suck. I hope you can rest up this weekend.
Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Aims, she is absolutely lovely.
I hope you are feeling better today and can enjoy the weekend, Pix.
I can remember sharing a room with my brother. There was many a time when we fell asleep together in our teens too, but mostly because we were up late playing cards and fell out in place.
Pix, I hope you get completely better soon.

I don't remember sleeping with my brothers but I have clear memories of taking baths with the one closest to my age when we were quite young (I think I was probably not in first grade yet, putting him at no more than 11).
My brother is just 11 months younger than me and we bathed together when little. I think the only reason I remember is that he screamed the whole time. Hated water. I suspect that mom thought my water loving fishy ways would influence him.
Em looks very elegant and rather fey.
Wow, Em looks all grown up! And she's beautiful too.
Aims, Em looks so elegant!
I hope you feel better soon, Pix.
Ginger, may the good days stretch on and on into the horizon.
Pix, my love, sorry you're sick.
My brother and I bathed together when little. And I don't think there's anything wrong with letting siblings sleep together. My sister and I certainly did.
Had an outstandingly delicious dinner with my guests (Maurepas, Nora, thanks as usual for the perfect suggestions!), got a Pimm's cup at the Lost Love Lounge, and then chilled at an outside party in Bywater with a band and booze and stuff. Didn't make it to Frenchman, but that's okay. Today I'm making them blueberry pancakes and bacon, and we may go check out a second line in Treme (and Nora, if you and Tom would like to come with, please do!).
Yay! I love Maurepas. Gotta get back there soon.
There were 4 of us, mom tried to get as many into the bath at one time as she possibly could. And yes, my kids do bathe together usually. They prefer a play mate in the tub. Every so often we try transitioning to bathing alone or to showering alone, but the kids make it clear they prefer being together in the bath.
So much about raising kids is fraught with this weird ideological baggage, but really it's just parents trying to manage.
