Oh, I'm so sorry about Shadow, Erin. I'm glad you can all be together.
Ginger, that's great to hear, and also, what Beverly said.
(Also... Hi, Beverly!)
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Oh Erin - I am so sorry. Your poor dad. I'm glad you were able to get there and hopefully alleviate some of his pain.
Erin, that is so very upsetting. I'm sorry about Shadow. And your dad.
Pardon my posting the whole album, but at the top are pics from Em's first ballet recital today. It is ridiculous how big her eyes are.
Who is that grown-up looking girl?! That cannot be Em! No. Just like I keep refusing to believe that Princess Tickybox is seven and will tell me all about LotR and/or Pokemon every chance she gets.
The passage of time is wigging me out.
LotR
Last weekend at Aine's wedding, Em was playing frisbee with some of the older kids and every time Em caught it she yelled, "MY PRECIOUS!" Joe and I looked at each other, sighed, and admired our little Nerdling.
Re: the Passage of Time - it is ridic. There are some smallish signs of puberty in the offing already in the form of longinsh blonde hairs in her armpits. I saw them and thought, "No. No no no no. Give me at least 4 more years."
I'm sorry, Erin. That's hard, to lose a pet like that.
Re: the Passage of Time - it is ridic.
But I love this age, it's so magical.
Secret admission: Franny and Isaac sometimes sleep in the same bed. Does that make me a weirdo, that I let them? Because for me it often amounts to a night off from having kids show up in my bed in the middle of the night.
Not at all. My brother and sister and I would share a bed occasionally. Especially if it was in the basement so my parents could catch a break.
My kids all sleep with me but it's more like they sleep together on one side. If I ever get them out of my room, I expect it will be together.
