I have no idea, objectively speaking, whether either of those shoes is decent or actually hideous. I've been in helpless thrall to that brand ever since it opened up a store downtown, even though I'll never own a stitch of anything they make.
Ooh, Desigual is very fun to look at--Sally at Already Pretty has a few things of theirs and I keep looking at the store when I'm In Santa Monica, but unlikely to actually purchase (also I think the one time I went in there nothing was my size)

I went on a date tonight! With my husband of course. We saw the LA Phil. It was casual Friday, so no tuxes on stage. Go figure! And then decided to make mojitos at home, what with my Appletons rum and homemade lime cordial and all, and they were delicious. Mmm! We may need to plan an LAista cocktail night this summer, but it will need to be at a house that doesn't look like a trash dump. Hmmmm.
