Thanks. I'm feeling better, still a little dejected. Tomorrow is a fresh start and I'll see what happens. The woman I went through the initial training and I are FB friends and she messaged me and called me. Which is nice, we've been trying to get together for lunch, maybe in a few weeks.
She said that everyone in her dept talks about what a nightmare "my" dept is and how none of them want to work over there. And people make jokes about how hard is it over there (I think the work in general, not sure if it's mgmt in particular). That made me feel better.
Awww, that's very nice. I got that kind of validation (ex-coworker showed up for a reading and signing Hec did three days after I was sacked) after I was humiliatingly fired; it really helps to have someone else confirm that you're not fucked up, you just got dropped all unaware into a fucked-up workplace.
Yay for validation. It's not you, honey; it's them.
I am supposed to be off today, and have a shitton to accomplish before friends get into town tomorrow morning; however, my boss called last night to see if I could look at a job with him. I said sure! And now it's turning into a whole thing. Oh well, getting hours is good, it'll still be a three and a half day weekend. Just wish I'd managed to eat breakfast before he picked me up.
So, with 2 days to the family wedding, my retro polka-dotted dress arrived today. It fits well and I'm pretty happy with it.
I'm less happy with the weather forecast being 95 for Sunday. Jesus, weather, have you heard of a happy medium? At least the wedding and reception are air-conditioned.
We need pictures of you in the dress.
Quick shoe question: would this shoe, in red patent, work with that dress: [link]
We need pictures of you in the dress.
After Sunday, you shall have them, with the possibility of bonus Tim in a suit.
Yes! Also, you need a red patent clutch and a hat.
I can't promise a hat. Unless you mean my fleece Louise bunny-ear hat.
