Hee, sumi, that's too funny!
askye, ouch, but I point at what others say. Numbers, not a strength; doesn't make you less then, just not your thing. But you already have another position lined up.
'Bushwhacked'
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I'm feeling better. It was a shock because I hadn't received direct feedback I was so far behind. Vet says Dean is good weight so I can stop wprrying about that. Waiting for a basic urine test.
Yay! Pee, Dean, Pee like the wind!
Err, or something...
Can they not do a urine extraction? Do they have to wait for him to pee normally?
askye, I'm sorry the job didn't work out. I hope that the next one is a better fit for you. Can you pick up more hours at the craft store until the temp agency can find something else for you?
They did a urine extraction. I was just waiting for those results.
And survey says - Not a UTI! However, the vet explained that Dean is showing signs of inflammation of the bladder and said "it's called Interstitial Cystitis" and I stopped him and said "yeah, I have that". He was shocked to hear that there is a human version.
But Dean is at risk for UTI and possible crystals so he needs lots of hydration and low stress. So I'm switching him to a wet food (I finally found one he would eat) and getting a kitty water fountain.
As for the job thing - they terminated me at the craft store, which I was fine with at the time. And to get hours I'd have to reapply, I'm not sure I will. I think I want to see how much work Westaff can give me.
I realized that two things that sting are: 1) being behind and not realizing I was behind. and 2) When the dept head called me into her office to "chat" my first thought was "I'm in trouble" but then I told myself "you're being too hard on yourself, don't expect the worst."
And then it was the worst.
I've dropped off my cats for the vet numerous times, in fact it's usually been standard that the drop off is done w/o consult, and the consultation came at the end of the day when I came to pick my cat up, after tests had been run.
What they all said. I've used two vets in two states, plus the vet amyth used for Lu, all with dropoff and pickup. If my current vet doesn't have time for an appt. but it's something urgent, they'll have me drop the animal off and consult at the end of the day. I hope you find a better vet.
Also, I'm sorry about the job, that would shake anyone's confidence. But yeah, good stuff to know about yourself.
Steph! The stretch definitely helped! My hips felt much better today. Now if I can just figure out the knee thing...
It was a shock because I hadn't received direct feedback I was so far behind.
What that says is that they're bad managers, not that you're a bad employee.
I'm back from my marathon day of transfusion. Thank your red blood cells for all they do for you.
Thank you, red blood cells.
Kittenish is home with me. I think I will need to get her a new container for her ashes eventually, but she's home. My vet and the boarding facility were really wonderful. I think they miss her nearly as much as I do.
Dad started radiation today. The treatment seemed pretty okay for him. The scary memory side effects shouldn't show up for a couple of weeks. And I'm going back down for Father's Day weekend at the latest.
askye, I am glad you found a way to take care of Dean. It's hard.
