Some of it wasn't the actual processes that had to be run, but stuff like the CS people did things with certain exceptions and trying to remember all the exceptions was hard. And also if I started something, then was unsure, if I made a mistake it usually wasn't something that could be "undone" but had to be fixed by someone else.

I should have realized, but I guess that was the main point - I thought I was doing good but I wasn't and I was kinda clueless that I wasn't.

Yeah. Any system that has to accommodate a lot of exceptions is always going to be tough to pick up (cf., The English Language, the HR database at a law firm, et al.)

One day, a bunch of us were playing catch with one of those big balls you get at the grocery store (remember them?) and it bounced into his yard. He pounced on it and burst it with one snap of his jaws.

That's a good thing to know about yourself and your needs from a job, askye, and not indicative of any "failure" on your part. Maybe the universe is simply getting you out of a bad fit in a timely manner so you can deal with your kitty.

Try not to let it get you down, askye. One of the times I was going through the temp-assignment wringer I got let go from one position after a few weeks. The first day I felt so bad about myself, the second day, I realized that the job had been exhausting me, physically and emotionally, and I was lucky to have made my escape. I know getting back on the waiting-for-assignments-carousel sucks, but hopefully the next one will be a better fit.

I'm feeling better. It was a shock because I hadn't received direct feedback I was so far behind. Vet says Dean is good weight so I can stop wprrying about that. Waiting for a basic urine test.
