Angel: You know, I killed my actual dad. It was one of the first things I did when I became a vampire. Wesley: I hardly see how that's the same situation. Angel: Yeah. I didn't really think that one through.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Teppy, what a relief that your brother is getting the help he needs.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Just catching up. Past few days have been hectic on my end.

Connie, tons of heart~ma for your hubby.

Teppy, so proud of your brother. Not an easy thing to do.

ION - Shir sent me an e-mail. Asked for me to send her love to everyone. I'm guessing she'd also send out a blanket of ~ma to everyone too, knowing her.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Tep, glad your brother's getting help.

I have to update my 401(k) beneficiaries, so I sent the following text to my siblings:

I need your Social Security Number so you get money when I die.

My sister's response:

That's morbid!

My brother's response:

Is joss whedon writing your life now?

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Connie, I hope all goes well.

Teppy, I am so glad your brother is getting help, and that he made it into the hospital.

P-C, maybe if you phrased *just* a little different. But nice to see your brother knows you well.

And yes, my family would all do the "morbid" line. Which explains why none of us has a will.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Holy cats. My brother just called me -- he can use his phone, and his wife can visit him (with the dog -- for real) -- and said he's all settled in, full of Ativan, and a bag of saline because he was severely dehydrated, and probably vitamins b/c his body is fairly wrecked.

And he's got hepatitis. I shouldn't be surprised, but I'm still adjusting to the rehab thing. His doctor said that as long as he never drinks again, his liver should heal. I honestly don't know much about hepatitis, so I don't know if that's true. I asked him if the doctor said if it was hep A, B, or what, but he didn't know. I know hep C isn't curable, so I'm assuming it's not hep C.

So...I think he did this whole thing in the nick of time. Jesus Christ.

information libertarian

He probably has alcoholic hepatitis, not one of the viral ones (A, B, C). Hepatitis is just inflammation of the liver. See: [link]
