Supermoon's fault I couldn't make it to a two-hour yoga class I wanted to go to this morning. Actually, I blame the fig newtons; I woke up at 8 am with horrible stomach cramps, and sweat was POURING off me...and that's all the detail I'll subject you to.
It was painful and unpleasant. I stripped off, still sweating bullets, and lay in bed with a wet washcloth over my eye. Dan got me up, but my stomach is still twitchy enough, though it doesn't HURT any more, that a 2 hour yoga class could easily be accidentally quite embarrassing.
Plus my in-laws are in town. Without telling us. I like them and am happy to see them, but they want to have dinner with us, of course, but today is a rather full day and we had to juggle wildly to jigger our schedule for. Plus, I sent his mom flowers on Friday for Mother's Day, and I would have scheduled them differently if I had know she would be here!
Oh, that flash mob was lovely.
I have a headache due to stupid unconscious teeth-clenching, and hit snooze multiple times, but also have a trainer session in 30 minutes. Don't wanna go, but must.
Skipping a ton to say my google-fu is failing me.
I want to make a big thing of iced tea, but I *CANNOT* find anyone who can tell me how many bags of normal tea (like you would use to make a hot cup, NOT the pre-prepared "iced tea" bags) to use per gallon.
They either don't say at all, or give USELESS MEASUREMENTS THAT DON'T TRANSLATE to how many bags of my Earl Grey I need to use.
PLEASE HELP!
Well, you use one teabag to make a mug of tea, which is about 12 ounces, right? A gallon is 64 ounces. So I'd use 5-6 teabags per gallon, if you're going to make regular strength hot tea and then chill it. If you plan to make extra-strength hot tea and then cool it with ice, thus diluting it, the math changes.
Huh. Simple math. Never thought of that. Thanks, flea!
Uh, except there are actually 128 ounces in a gallon. So, double that 5-6 bags per gallon.
I make sun tea with 4 bags in a gallon jug, but I like weak tea.
I use 4 bags. We find that plenty strong.
I love the flash mob. But, the thing that gets me is the first comment on the youtube video ("If I ran into this in public, I'd shit my pants from pure happiness"
Between this and the "Avengers" recent discussion, I cannot stop laughing.
