Spike: Heard what happened up top, offing your dad and all. Don't know if you know this, but, uh…I killed my mum. Actually, I'd already killed her, and then she tried to shag me, so I had to-- Wesley: Thank you. I'm…very comforted.

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

My doctor friend is such an asshole

That's not a friend, that's a person whose orbit you occasionally cross.

Our wings are not tired.

My doctor friend is such an asshole,

Forgive me, but I think, based on your further descriptions of him, he is not a friend.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Yeah, I gotta agree he's no friend of yours, Steph.

Brenda, that's marvellous. I can't watch it right now, because it's making me cry, but it's marvellous.

"Somewhere in this building is our talent." Toby Ziegler, my spirit animal

Probably not. (although he could be the one purist in the world.)

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I just made TCG order another scotch so that I can stay on the internet a bit longer. There is only free internet in the bar and lobby at this hotel. They want 20 pounds a day to give you internet in your room! I'm in withdrawal because I don't have an internet enabled phone with me.

That which does not kill you should RUN

That is a good point; I mentally categorize him as "friend" because I've known him for over 20 years.

He's an excellent doctor, and was really great with me when I was at the ER, explaining all manner of medical fiddly stuff. I'd want him as my doctor if I were in a genuine medical crisis.

But as a person, I can't say I have anything in common with him any more other than a shared past.

I hate that! Well, it helped me win an argument with Former Pothead Step-brother, but generally? I hate it.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

brenda, I enjoyed that! and got a little sniffly.

You might enjoy this.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Brenda, that's marvellous. I can't watch it right now, because it's making me cry, but it's marvellous.

Oh good, not just me.

On a shallower note: Oh, as if, OkCupid, where are you finding all these Sheldons?! (One or two being literally asexual, which I don't mean to be mean about, but I do sort of feel that I've had the *not* having sex base covered well for many years while still keeping custody of the remote.) And I get that dating online confesses a certain Sheldon-ocity about my own person, especially at my age. Still, I don't think two Sheldons can date.
