Bah, just heard back from my broker, the insurance company nixed the credit union's claim on the money they'd be losing selling it at the offered price. Looks like apart from waiting, renting, and walking away, our best option is to see what the CU can do for us (apparently they want to work with us still on this short sale) regarding the $95K we'd still owe. Like, set up a new loan for that, I guess.
FUCK THIS SHIT FUCKING FUCKHEADS. Arrgh, just needed to get it out of my system, for I am in a conference all day long all week long (on my lunch break right now) plus I still need to do work for my job plus I need to deal with organizing my neighborhood association plus I need to write up some blog posts because I'm finally making some inroads with industry people and I want to deliver content, plus Tom is jittery and anxious due to medication change and work stress, etc., etc., etc.
And all I want to do is go downstairs and watch the Avengers (conference is in a hotel that's in the same building as a movie theater)
Sorry for the info dump, I gotta get back into professional mode momentarily.
Pix, ugh on the increased classload. sumi and TB, HOORAY! North Carolina, eat a bag of dicks.
That's all I got.
So, good places to buy business-y clothes online? I tried Ann Taylor, Banana Republic and the other usual suspects. Any suggestions? Looking for a blouse to wear with black pants which looks professional but is not just a plain old button-down.
Loft? Talbots? Eddie Bauer?
Pix, that's ridonkulous. Your a Natl Board Certified teacher, and I understand budget problems, but they should have offered you some extra personal days, or money for a professional conference or something.
Geez.
CORSETS ARE MAILED!!!! I AM NO LONGER THE WORST PROCRASTINATOR!
WTF, Nora? What is the insurance for, if not for this?
Erin, thanks for your support, but I can’t be upset. It’s really not their fault. Everyone is taking it in the nads next year because our enrollment is dropping again (who hoo, never-ending recession). All teachers and chairs will be teaching one more class, and we’re having to lay people off. So yeah, I can’t complain, really. It’s just going to be a ton of work.
Nora, um...seriously? I’m so sorry.
I guess it wouldn't be an insurance company unless it denies, denies, denies?
We're pretty ready to walk away from this.
Nora, that's flabbergasting. What the fuck is the insurance for, if not for exactly this?

I am a huge fan of Jones New York.
