Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Sweet fancy fucking Moses. There was just a shooting at the park while I was two blocks away walking Frankie. Word is kid is alive, shot multiple times in the legs. I just don't even know.

Yikes, smonster! I'm glad you're ok.
"Murder...the only thing America's still good at." (Although I'm glad nobody's dead. So, not in this case.)
According to my neighbor M, a lot of the shootings are not even drug-related these days, just "beefs." Like, "you looked at my girlfriend, you disrespected me," that kind of shit. I just don't even know.
Things I need to do: put together my mom's b-day/mother day package and mail it, go pass out flyers about my friend's daughter.
Things I want to do: sleep, watch Thor.

Yeah, I was at home, but didn't even know about it till I left to go back to work and saw a lot of people out at that intersection.
The whole situation is just incredibly, painfully, tragically ugly it's starting to make me shut down completely. There's just TOO MUCH. Too many kids being shot. Too many people getting murdered. Everywhere.
And then the whole C. being missing thing, and MCA dying, and stress about the house and finances, and people I love being sick, and seeing a dog get clipped by a car on the street...
Are there buffista-approved Vegas hotels? Which ones?
Are there buffista-approved Vegas hotels? Which ones?I would *NOT* recommend the Las Vegas Hilton. Although on a monorail stop, I thought it was a bit on the dumpy side, for the price. I stayed at far nicer for half the price along Route 66. Granted, that's not Vegas.
If it doesn't bother you, a friend got a real sweet deal at the Hooters Hotel. Apparently, while "manly" decor, it was tasteful. I can't say, as I wasn't there. But it's pretty new, and the rates were cheap. But that might have been a seasonal thing.
I stayed at the Excalibur years ago. Eh. It was ok. HUGE. Easy to get lost in. I like Paris casino/lobby. But haven't stayed there.
Aside from that, I'm sure there are other folk who have traveled there more, and will have better opinions.
I'm sorry about the shootings and missing woman and other bad things happening. I hope it doesn't overwrite all the good things you love about NOLA too much.
