Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"already on the kiss-cam with Karl Marx"-

What do you think the thinking is? That we'll be so worried about getting a few of Amazon's dollars by mistake/attached to this weird book that we'll rush over with our bank accounts right away?!

brillig

Or they're hoping to tap into any One-Touch Payment things we may have when we go "What the hell?" and click on the links.

These scams work because there are people who go "Oh, dear, something's wrong! I must fix it!" Though that of course ties in to "Someone's wrong on the Internet, I must fix it!"

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I'm waiting at the doctor's office and I really need to pee (fire), but I'm guessing they'll want me to pee (fire) in a cup to test it, so I'm holding it, but GOING TO BURST. Fire.

Can't you tell the receptionist (or nurse) you really need to pee, but you expect your doctor will want a sample? I always do and they usually just give me a cup and let me give the sample before the doctor is ready to see me.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Spontaneous combustion usually gets their attention.

In my medical news the doctor called and my A1C which was at 7.2 is now 6.5. Still JUST over the line for diabetes, but a major improvement.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Good news, Toddson.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

And here I was plotting ways to get equity up to 20% to do away with it, and save the $90 or so a month.

Hell, we tried to do away with it mere weeks before realizing it would save our asses. We'd paid 20% of the principal, but couldn't get it removed, because they'd need to do a reappraisal (at our expense) to see if it was actually 20% of the VALUE. Which, as we all well know it would not be.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Right on, Toddson!

Pee update: they called me back, and they now have a cup of my flaming pee. Now I'm waiting for the doctor. Woo.

Our credit union doesn't do a second mortgage to avoid PMI, so our choices were either PMI or 20% down.
