Arrrgh. Going to the doctor this afternoon, because [ladyparts TMI] what I thought was
a yeast infection hasn't improved after using Monistat (not the 1-dose dealie).
And I'm having symptoms of a UTI, while also still having some symptoms of
a yeast infection.
I suppose it's possible to have both, or that maybe
the yeast infection can cause a UTI.
But I'm having abdominal pain (well, more like a combination of tenderness and pressure) that I wasn't having before, so something has changed. Bah.
Ugh, Teppy. I hope you get some answers at the doctor and you're feeling better soon.
Steph, what I thought for years was a recurring yeast infection was actually a latex allergy. Not saying that you have that, but it's worth considering. I had that same strange abdominal pain, too, though that might have been either an ovarian cyst or a fibroid. Anyway, yeah. Doctor visit. Good luck to you and your ladyparts.
I hope the doctor gives you something quickly effective, Teppy. I have had that combination of issues before. A world of yuck.
OMG. good grief. 'ma for a good doctor's visit.
I am sick as a friggin' dog. How do you know if you just have a nasty virus or a full-blown sinus infection? My face feels like it's going to explode
This was me 2 days ago. I went to the doc and got some meds. I'm home sick again today hoping to be well enough for work tomorrow. I thought I might go in today, but taking a shower made me tired, so I figured another day home might be a really good idea.
IOW, go to the doc.
I have always taken out a 2nd mortgage, but I have often paid that 2nd mortgage down as quickly as possible. So, in a situation like yours, I likely would only have 1 mortgage to deal with.
Well, if we didn't have the PMI (that's automatically applied if the buyer puts down less than 20%, and that we make monthly payments on) we would be dealing with our bank that would have to look at losing $100K in their mortgage investment with us. That's money that would come out of their bottom line. However, since we have the PMI, the bank will be getting any loss on the short sale back from the insurance company. So, we have a $280K mortgage. The short sale offer amount is $185K. If all goes well, the bank will get $185K from the new owners and $95K from the insurance company, which insures that they aren't out any of the principal, which hopefully means they won't be looking to take that $95K out of our hides or, alternatively, deny the short sale so they can try to get another offer to reclaim more money.
I'd heard, back when I was listening to people's advice about real estate purchasing (which I no longer do) that it was better to get the second mortgage for whatever reason- could you deduct the interest on that? But I'm sure as shit glad we didn't do that, because PMI is saving our asses. Insurance: you hope you don't need it, but it don't mean you won't!
There are people phishing by looking like Amazon now? Cause I just got the weirdest looking, fakey message cancelling an order I never made...
I have called three times today. Always voicemail. So, I go to the website, and click "contact us" and see a webchat option. I am chatting with a rep. Who looks to be saying they will contact me "as soon as possible", to which I responded, "do you have an eta on that? Will that be 10 min? 2 hours? 3days?" Her response, "If not today, then tomorrow". Thanks. Love the specificiness of it.
Sometimes, I really suck at waiting.
Nora, thanks for the info. My Credit Union is fine with me doing 5% down. Not sure if it's because of my good credit score, or because they are just cool like that. Either way, will have to do the PMI thing. Good to know, it can be used as a life preserver too! And here I was plotting ways to get equity up to 20% to do away with it, and save the $90 or so a month.
Thanks for the advice and good babymaking vibes :) I am still sick today, so I called and will see my doctor tomorrow at 11:45 (she had no openings today). I am all kinds of ragey due to being sick, going off my ADs, and this here baby doctor bullshit:
Hi, J. I just got off the phone with CLINIC A and have decided to use FedEx to have the tank and embryos couriered. I am going to have the consent form from CLINIC A notarized today and mail it over to them. Once they have it, I'll contact you to have the tank FedExed to them (probably early next week), and then they will FedEx it back to you.
I have to say that I am disappointed that I'm having to be stressed out and inconvenienced (again) due to the fact that Dr. Q's office wasn't established when I first worked with him. I knew that going in, but I didn't realize that I would be tasked with the logistics, planning and transport of sperm and now embryos with little to no assistance from YOUR CLINIC. Just so you understand my frustration, here is what I had to do back in April of 09:
- Per Dr. Q's office, I had the sperm shipped to a clinic located in Pasadena, CA (I believe it was CLINIC B).
- Traveled from my home in the San Fernando Valley to the temporary Glendale office to pick up the tank.
- Traveled to Pasadena to pick up sperm.
- Delivered the sperm from the Pasadena clinic to CLINIC A in Los Angeles (why the sperm wasn't sent to CLINIC A originally, I'm not sure).
- Returned to my home in SFV.
This took me half a day and I had to take time off work to do it. I wasn't able to use a courier service as I was only made aware of this a few days prior to my transfer date (yet another frustration in the process). It was stressful and seemed completely avoidable.
Now I will pay $200 or repeat the above process a few days before my estimated transfer date. Again, it is stressful and could have been avoided. The transfer of the embryos from CLINIC A should have been planned for and done without my having to be so inconvenienced. I always assumed that my embryos would have been transferred to Dr. Q's facility on its completion as he is my doctor and his facility is where any future FET would take place. Not to mention that I met with Dr. Q in December of 2011 to discuss a future FET - why wasn't this process planned for at that point, which would have been months in advance of the transfer?
I realize that I didn't work with you at that time and I'm sorry to dump all of this on you, but I hope that your office would want to know if a patient is displeased. Also, perhaps this will help your office get a plan in place for this scenario, which could easily happen again with another patient.
Thank you, J. I will be in touch once CLINIC A has the notarized form.
GLAMCOOKIESMASH!
