Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Ouch, typing LOLSpeak is painful.

How do the cats do it?

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Whee, babymaking!!

So I showed up at 6:55 and was the first one there. Next guy got there at 7:05 or 7:10? I guess we start at 7ish, aka NOLA time. Not complaining, punctuality has never been my strongpoint so I'm glad to have wiggle room.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Nora,

can you say more?

I have always taken out a 2nd mortgage, but I have often paid that 2nd mortgage down as quickly as possible. So, in a situation like yours, I likely would only have 1 mortgage to deal with.

Sincerely,

self-interested party who would love to just sell this fucker at any price and walk away.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Arrrgh. Going to the doctor this afternoon, because [ladyparts TMI] what I thought was a yeast infection hasn't improved after using Monistat (not the 1-dose dealie). And I'm having symptoms of a UTI, while also still having some symptoms of a yeast infection. I suppose it's possible to have both, or that maybe the yeast infection can cause a UTI.

But I'm having abdominal pain (well, more like a combination of tenderness and pressure) that I wasn't having before, so something has changed. Bah.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Ugh, Teppy. I hope you get some answers at the doctor and you're feeling better soon.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Steph, what I thought for years was a recurring yeast infection was actually a latex allergy. Not saying that you have that, but it's worth considering. I had that same strange abdominal pain, too, though that might have been either an ovarian cyst or a fibroid. Anyway, yeah. Doctor visit. Good luck to you and your ladyparts.

Our wings are not tired.

I hope the doctor gives you something quickly effective, Teppy. I have had that combination of issues before. A world of yuck.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

I am sick as a friggin' dog. How do you know if you just have a nasty virus or a full-blown sinus infection? My face feels like it's going to explode

This was me 2 days ago. I went to the doc and got some meds. I'm home sick again today hoping to be well enough for work tomorrow. I thought I might go in today, but taking a shower made me tired, so I figured another day home might be a really good idea.

IOW, go to the doc.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I have always taken out a 2nd mortgage, but I have often paid that 2nd mortgage down as quickly as possible. So, in a situation like yours, I likely would only have 1 mortgage to deal with.

Well, if we didn't have the PMI (that's automatically applied if the buyer puts down less than 20%, and that we make monthly payments on) we would be dealing with our bank that would have to look at losing $100K in their mortgage investment with us. That's money that would come out of their bottom line. However, since we have the PMI, the bank will be getting any loss on the short sale back from the insurance company. So, we have a $280K mortgage. The short sale offer amount is $185K. If all goes well, the bank will get $185K from the new owners and $95K from the insurance company, which insures that they aren't out any of the principal, which hopefully means they won't be looking to take that $95K out of our hides or, alternatively, deny the short sale so they can try to get another offer to reclaim more money.

I'd heard, back when I was listening to people's advice about real estate purchasing (which I no longer do) that it was better to get the second mortgage for whatever reason- could you deduct the interest on that? But I'm sure as shit glad we didn't do that, because PMI is saving our asses. Insurance: you hope you don't need it, but it don't mean you won't!
