Whee, congrats to DCJ and Windsparrow!! Fabulous fabulous.
BUT NOT GAY WERE-DOLPHINS OKAY.
WHAT'S YOUR PROBLEM WITH GAY WERE-DOLPHINS HUH? (Also, go and have fun. I so decree it.)
Tomorrow, I am officiating a wedding where the bride, groom and myself will be standing in a creek while they recite their vows. Fortunately, we've written a lovely and delightfully short ceremony.
Sounds very symbolic. And cold.
OMG, my boss, his wife, and another coworker apparently go get pizza and $1 draughts every Tuesday. And they paid for me, again. Nice folks, I like them.
Also, I have official permission to boss the shit out of a couple of his workers. Watch out, little slackers, here I come!! I had to stop my window painting today to teach them how to use a damn table saw. Clue stick - if you try and show the wood through, it *will* jam and even kick back on you. That goes double if it's old wood with a tight grain.
What great news to come home to! Congratulations, Andi and Daniel!
Lovely that my first post in a week or so is...
Congratulations Andi & Daniel!! Wonderful news.
And also tons of good, unspecified ~ma to lisah.
I've said many other things in my head over the last week, if that means anything.
Tomorrow, I am officiating a wedding where the bride, groom and myself will be standing in a creek while they recite their vows.
To throw off the trackers?
(and here I am giggling out loud)
Congratulations Andi and Daniel!
JenP - how's your mom doing?
Congratulations, Windsparrow and Daniel!
Unspecified ~ma to you, lisah.
Laura, how's your foot?
NO SWIMMING. No swimming anywhere. I am quite buoyant, which I take as confirmation that no part of me belongs under the surface of the water.
She's doing well, Sox, thanks. In rehab at the hospital where she had surgery since the Friday after surgery. It feels like a month, but I know Easter wasn't that long ago! Meeting on Thursday with the rehab team to see whether they want to keep her another week or start a discharge plan. Walking much better, talking well but a little slowly, memory, reasoning and all that seem good. Definitely emotions more on the surface post injury/surgery, and she speaks her mind more freely than she did, but she was quite reserved to begin with, so it's not inappropriate or anything, just new. And often quite intentionally funny.
All in all, very good.
