[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Mom is here today to help me out with some packing, and Staples came through on some boxes. So, I'm a little calmer today, although I have a dentist appointment so not too calm.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I come to sing my wife's praises. My birthday present this year: in August, I will be seeing David Attenborough at the Regent Theatre for his presentation, A Life on Earth.

Listening to this man is quite possibly the only show I would describe as a once in a lifetime occasion. And I'm going in August.

Thrive to spite them

Thanks for the thoights. I slept mostly well until I woke up with a mouth full of bile and had to deal with the pain before going back to sleep.

The drive to the parking area was okay but I tried to listen to Sense and Sensibility but goy pissed at the sis in law talking the half brother out of giving the girls money and had to stop. I had never read the book or seen an adaptation.

Then the GPS took me off the interstate for a weird detoir before putting me back on. Training is going well though.

"already on the kiss-cam with Karl Marx"-

Not only does she seem wonderful, she gets you. in my experience, that's the rare part.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Omnis:

And I'm not one to make the bed. Seems easier/faster to tuck it up when company comes.

Pix:

I think, Omnis, you might just want to make the bed when company is coming. Duvets and throw pillows make it easy.

A nice fluffy comforter (duvet? I think they are the same thing) covers a multitude of not bothering to get the sheets straight sins.

I come to sing my wife's praises.

And we shall join in on the chorus. She is indeed praise-worthy.

askye, anti-stress~ma for you. Wacky GPS system....

bonny, that's a perfectly cromulent visualization. Ginger, you are in my thoughts, and sometimes my thoughts look a bit like this, or like erika's story.

sj, I don't think anyone finds packing an easy thing to do. I don't have any advice for you, though. I'm sure in the end you will get it figured out.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

O-a, you might want to check out Apartment Therapy to get ideas for utilizing furniture in small spaces. yeah, they have some crazy-expensive things in some of their posts, but I've gotten some GREAT deco/solution ideas from their site.

I'd search studio apartments there, even though I don't THINK you're getting a a studio (need more coffee) but looking at what others have done in studios or teeny apartments can give you some great ideas.

askye, much -ma to you!

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, I'm a big fan of duvet with cover, and no flat sheet. It's a little hassle when you wash the cover to put it back on, but that's less than the daily hassle of straightening sheets. Then all you have to do is flop the duvet on the bed and it's more or less made.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I have at times gotten rid of both fitted and flat sheets, and slept between two quilts. Totally comfy. Who said the only way to make a bed was with those sheets, anyway?

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Du-whah? ::snerk:: I dunno. As a guy, won't I loose a lot of 'man-points' having a duvet? ::/snerk::

Erin, what is this Apartment Therapy you speak of?
