Damn you, Bridget! Damn you to Hades! You broke my heart in a million pieces! You made me love you, and then you-- I SHAVED MY BEARD FOR YOU, DEVIL WOMAN!

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

O-a, you might want to check out Apartment Therapy to get ideas for utilizing furniture in small spaces. yeah, they have some crazy-expensive things in some of their posts, but I've gotten some GREAT deco/solution ideas from their site.

I'd search studio apartments there, even though I don't THINK you're getting a a studio (need more coffee) but looking at what others have done in studios or teeny apartments can give you some great ideas.

askye, much -ma to you!

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, I'm a big fan of duvet with cover, and no flat sheet. It's a little hassle when you wash the cover to put it back on, but that's less than the daily hassle of straightening sheets. Then all you have to do is flop the duvet on the bed and it's more or less made.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I have at times gotten rid of both fitted and flat sheets, and slept between two quilts. Totally comfy. Who said the only way to make a bed was with those sheets, anyway?

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

I think, Omnis, you might just want to make the bed when company is coming. Duvets and throw pillows make it easy.

Du-whah? ::snerk:: I dunno. As a guy, won't I loose a lot of 'man-points' having a duvet? ::/snerk::

Erin, what is this Apartment Therapy you speak of?

omnis, just don't call it a duvet. Refer to it as a "that thick blanket-thing" and your Man-Cred will remain intact.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I LOVE just having a duvet, but my DH is totally old school when it comes to the bed--sheets, hospital corners, the top sheet folded over just so. He makes it every day, so it isn't a big deal, but I miss my old duvet days..

Omnis-- a duvet is GREAT, Something like this: [link] Then, you have just a bottom sheet and you straighten the duvet over it and you're done! Tidy-looking and comfy bed, and no fuss.

What's the difference between a duvet and a quilt and a comforter?

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

There are plenty of non-girly comforters out there.

To add: well, I know what quilts are, of course, but am still baffled at the difference between a duvet and a comforter.

"already on the kiss-cam with Karl Marx"-

Duvets are thicker?
