Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

So sorry, Hil! Is there something special you can do while resting? Maybe download and read a book you have been wanting to?

I've got some TV shows to catch up on, and a few books I haven't read yet. So far, I'm mostly just drifting in and out of sleep.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

But I wrote a speech for a speaker

In my book, it counts. Very much.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

smonster, I order you to be a bum today and re-charge. (Call me if you need a pick-me-up, doll.)

Bitches! I need your advice. I am going to ditch my Loreal Voluminous in Carbon Black (HATE -- smudges so badly) and splurge on a good mascara with a bit of my garage sale money. The rest goes to bills.

My dilemma -- I am a Lancome Definicil's devotee, BUT so many of you have recced a Dior mascara. Which one was it, and should I stay with my tried and true Lancome, or should I try the Dior (I think it was Diorshow?)

HALP.

(This post brought to you by a blessedly shallow need for once.)

Too late, met with my coworker about the beads project and am at the laundromat doing All The Laundry. But I'm not happy about it. My coworker was like, uh, are you okay? In more first world whines, I left my charger at home and my computer is not going to last as long as my laundry will. Foo. But the wifi here is much better than at my house, so Justified s2 downloads are proceeding apace (srsly, one non-hd ep takes 4 hrs at home. here? 12 minutes).

Jilli has a NYX mascara she really likes, if you want to splurge a little smaller. Not a mascara gal, so I can't help you. Can't wait to see your outfit!

smonster, I tried on the waist cincher last night, and am def wearing the black necklace and earring that you sent.

I bought a vivid red permanent dye for my hair, and then some Manic Panic in Pillarbox Red to vividfy it further, and I'm so psyched! Leave on Thursday!

I promise I will take lots of pix, and I am SO GRATEFUL for you and Jill helping me to put this together.

NYX, hmm? Ponder...

Well, doing stuff isn't inherently BAD, doll. The offer to call is always, always open if you need to vent and bitch and moan.

In addition to the sore throat and sinuses and ears, I've got the kind of achy all over feeling that usually means I've got a fever. But I don't have a fever. Odd.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Bitches! I need your advice. I am going to ditch my Loreal Voluminous in Carbon Black (HATE -- smudges so badly) and splurge on a good mascara with a bit of my garage sale money. The rest goes to bills.

I adore DiorShow [link] but it will smudge a little on me. That said, the Makeup Forever Aqua Smoky Lash [link] that Jilli loves and gets her through anything? THAT smudges on me as well. I tried the DiorShow Iconic [link] which only barely smudged but I hated the brush. So I am tempted to try the DiorShow waterproof [link] and see if my skin and lashes can maybe not defeat that combo.

My best trick recently has been to wear the Blinc on my lower lashes because that doesn't smudge with its tubes. But it doesn't give me the lashes I want on top.

So Blinc on the bottom lashes, and either DiorShow (I do really personally love this mascara and brush) or Makeup Forever on the tops for me these days.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

The Makeup Forever smudges on me, too.

About the only thing other than Blinc that didn't was one of the Cover Girl waterproofs.
