Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Fuck Cancer! No seriously. FUCK CANCER! Not the good kinda fuck, ya know, with kisses and affection. I mean, FUCK cancer, and the shit that causes it.
That said, I like your 17-year+ plan. As much as we wanna send negative energy to the cancer, we need to send positive energy to Ginger, and judging from the 120+ posts, we got a great start.
Ginger, keep your chin up. Shit's gonna come at you fast and furious. Keep calm. Keep a smile on your face. Keep kindness in your heart. Encourage the doctors/nurses/technicians to aim true, whether it's getting a vein, aiming radiation, or whatever it takes. Keep them smiling. And everyone around you will be pulling for you. All that positive energy will aid the treatment. Lastly, this sounds corny, but I'll say it anyway. Every night before going to bed, Identify one thing you want to accomplish the next day. Dishes. Planting something. Seeing someone. Trying a new tea. Doesn't matter what it is. Just identify something that you want to do. Focus on that, and you'll be fine.
On top of that, like everyone else has said, we are all here for you. Best "corner man" a fighter could have.
Best "corner man" a fighter could have.
Indeed we are in your corner, Ginger. I hope we can help you with this battle. I read the article you linked to last night. Great plan. I agree with her so very much.
I am awake. I am at work. The traffic gods were kind this morning, even though there was "rain". I left earlier for the early morning meeting. The normally 25 minute commute took 47 minutes. I allocated 75 minutes. So... I am early. But! I got a GREAT seat at the conference table, so... Woot?? I think I'd much prefer sleep. But then again, sleep vs meeting, who wouldn't take sleep? That's a no brainer.
If you got the right seat, omnis, you could have both?
Fred that's hilarious.
alas, not in that conference room.
My son just got home from school with sad news. A senior in his school, a straight A student from the Dominican Republic, died from a brain aneurism. He had a bad headache for 3-4 days but didn't go to the doctor because he didn't have insurance. School sent home a lovely letter about the loss. This just makes me sick. Isn't taking care of our sick and our children a basic responsibility?
Only if you're a Socialist, apparently.
Laura, that is so sad and horrible.
