Ginger, I'm sorry to hear this news, and am fully signed on to the 17+ year plan.
Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I also am signed up for the 17 year plan. But I still say fuck cancer with a rusty chain saw.
bonny, I'm struggling with Penny. She's a great cat, very affectionate and cuddly. Much more than Maddie was, and way more than Anna (the cat I had for 20 years) but occasionally I find myself resenting her or think she's annoying.
I think I got Oz too soon after Pico died. And with all his many issues, it was a hard go to accept him. But even though I can still tell when the Feliway is out because he waanders around the house yowling, demanding food, and humping the pillows, he has become irreplaceable. It took time, and he is an odd little dude, but I love him.

What Typo said.
Jeez, Ginger! Anything you need to help with the 17+ year plan, I'm signing up, too!
Oh Ginger. I have no words except fuck cancer and fuck yeah for the 17 year plan. So many prayers and thoughts and ~~ma headed your way, love.
Ginger, I just heard. Oh no oh no.
You are an amazing combination of clear-eyed and optimistic. It's mind-blowing. It always has been and now... you'll do this as well as anyone can. That's the only certain thing I can see, you'll do the hell out of this.
Well Ginger, the Braves finally won and they got home runs from their oldest player (Chipper) and their youngest (Pastornicky). That's gotta be a good sign.

Fuck Cancer! No seriously. FUCK CANCER! Not the good kinda fuck, ya know, with kisses and affection. I mean, FUCK cancer, and the shit that causes it.
That said, I like your 17-year+ plan. As much as we wanna send negative energy to the cancer, we need to send positive energy to Ginger, and judging from the 120+ posts, we got a great start.
Ginger, keep your chin up. Shit's gonna come at you fast and furious. Keep calm. Keep a smile on your face. Keep kindness in your heart. Encourage the doctors/nurses/technicians to aim true, whether it's getting a vein, aiming radiation, or whatever it takes. Keep them smiling. And everyone around you will be pulling for you. All that positive energy will aid the treatment. Lastly, this sounds corny, but I'll say it anyway. Every night before going to bed, Identify one thing you want to accomplish the next day. Dishes. Planting something. Seeing someone. Trying a new tea. Doesn't matter what it is. Just identify something that you want to do. Focus on that, and you'll be fine.
On top of that, like everyone else has said, we are all here for you. Best "corner man" a fighter could have.
