I would have sworn omnis posted that too! But now I can't find it. smonster, were you and I living in the same alternate universe?

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Zenkitty, apparently we are in the same mistaken alternate universe. Thanks, Kate!!
Well, at least it was actually *there*. I was fearing I'd made it up for both of us.
Glad it went smoothly, if too much waiting time, Ginger. Pulling for good, good outcomes.
Hope the interview went well, LeN.
All's good here; hanging in the hospital with free WiFi and a comfortably resting mother who came through surgery with flying colors.
Happy Anniversary, Erin and DH!
Ugh. Trying to get work done on house--I want screens in a couple of my eaves to keep birds out (they are loud and creepy sounding), and need drywall replaced where my garage flooded. And possibly the bottom panel of the garage door from where roomie ran into it.
Drywall people came to look at it...and then said one of their people had just died and so they won't have time in their schedule forever, and recommended another company (which is probably NOT owned by a hot dyke!). So I had to call them and ask THEM to find time to get an estimate, then we'll have to schedule the work...etc. etc.
Meanwhile, bird-netting guy is here, but realized when he got here that his ladder is not tall enough for my top roof. It's clear why he thought it would be--it's only about 4' too short, but at that height you REALLY don't want to chance falling off!! So he'll have to rent a ladder and come back, at extra expense and time. Sigh.
And still haven't heard back from the garage guy.
Nor do I know what my schedule will be like anytime soon (and training for this project is sooooo disorganized and crazy. GRR)
And in a separate post: Yay Jen's mom! Random work-ma for smonster! Happies to Erin and D! Calmness to Suela! Extra hugs for -t. And all the rest as needed.
Ginger, I'm glad your procedure went well.
Jen, I'm so relieved your mother is doing so well.
Thanks for the happy anniversary wishes, all! We had yummy sushi, and since it's a work night for Dan (he wakes up at the god-forsaken hour of 4 am), we're going to Cabin in the Woods this weekend, followed by fancy Christopher Elbow ice cream shop stop!
(X-post with Natter)
So glad to hear good news, Jen!
meara, you definitely do not want birds up in there. Sorry the work isn't going smoothly.
Ginger, I hate the waiting in the rooms. It is never soon. Continued ~ma for you as you wait for the results.
I had drinks and dinner with more neighborfriends, which was good for my insecure emotional self, and I just found out that there may be some tryout work for me with a local contractor!! Which is total yay, except it sounds like he may want me to start RIGHT AWAY and my parents get here Wednesday.
