That's the thrill of living in the Hellmouth! There's a veritable cornucopia of fiends and devils and ghouls to engage ... Pardon me for finding the glass half-full.

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Worked for me.

That's what I thought you were going to say. Nudge nudge, wink wink.

I never sleep more than two hours straight but I can always fall asleep again right away, so I get eight hours total during the night over the course of a bit longer than eight hours. Did not think that was really sleep deprivation.

After falling asleep, it takes some time to get down into REM sleep - and if you are not getting enough time in that stage of sleep, it will reduce the overall quality of restoration that your rest supplies.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

What Windsparrow said.

There was someone who did an experiment where he would would sleep 2-3 hours, get up and do work, etc. Then sleep another 2-3 hours because for him it was about a cycle, not the number of hours at one time. He did okay but it fucked up his family life, so he decided to sleep more traditionally.

You may not be completing any cycles (or too few) and it is messing with you.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Definitely gong to discuss this with the doctor when he returns my call. Other than this, the party was fun

The hostess has 4 yr old daughter, for whom I brought a giant stuffed blue bunny. The little girl grabbed it immediately and hugged it tightly to herself. Mommy looked at her reprovingly: "What do we say?" The little girl replied "mine!"

That reminds me of this article about "second sleep": [link]

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Typo Boy, definitely get that checked out.

Still waiting!! Only three people in front of me. So maybe I'll get to a counter by noon?

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

smonster,

when I got my first (and only) driver's license, we had to wait in our cars in a big line and inch to the front (we had appts). When I got close to the front, there was an accident!

In line.

While waiting to have a driving test. I thought that was the craziest thing I had ever seen and I still hadn't started driving. So I had to tell my examiner about the accident. After that, during the test, we saw a dog attacking a mail carrier. So the whole thing was the craziest experience ever.

Sometimes the honest reaction is as gratifying as the polite one.

The status is NOT quo.

Kitty update: Mia and Seamus seem to have recovered fully from their illness, but we are waiting to hear final test results today. Crossing fingers and toes that the FIP titer comes back negative. If it's negative, this was just a random illness and shouldn't recur. If it's FIP, they have 3-5 months to live.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

My fingers are crossed, Pix. I'm sorry you're still dealing with sick kitties.

Typo, concurring with the recommendation of seeing your doctor.
