Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Ooh, there's a distraction. Help me decide what color to paint my nails for the Vampire Ball this weekend? The outfit is b&w stripes. (Of course it is.)

I'm also writing my doll company interview questions. This is kindasortanotreally keeping me busy.

Breathe... maybe they're going the extra mile to get you the best compensation package?

My grandfather came through surgery just fine. He has a drain in, and may get to go home as soon as tomorrow. My poor mom didn't sleep at all last night for worrying, and will be trying to sleep in the hospital tonight. Oy.

I've got this random headache and stomachache that keep sort of alternating, coming and going. WTF. Go away, please.

I'm glad your grandfather's surgery went well.

I have a big headache from dealing with ridiculousness at new workplace. First they didn't load my computer with all the programs I needed. Then they created the wrong username and password for me so I couldn't access the training or (more importantly) benefits sign-up pages. Then it took 4 hours to add my printer to my computer (by IT!), now I got a username and password for the system I'll use most...and it, too, doesn't work and IT doesn't know why. Add in a bunch of totally outdated training (and outdated procedures/policies that show up if you search for something on the corporate intranet) and I want to be like "PLEASE. STOP. Junk everything, buy more up to date systems, and for the love of god, take shit down or update it!"

My students have a midterm tomorrow, and they're all freaking out. I really wish there was a bit more time for the material on this exam -- there are quite a few who don't really get it yet but I think could get it with another week or so to work on it. But, anyway, what that meant for me today was five straight hours of, at any given moment, at least three people asking me, "How do I do this problem?" I had to take a little while after my classes were done to just sit and refocus my brain so that I wasn't still trying to do five things at once.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Gee, meara, I didn't know you worked at my office!

Hil, I think that you use a TENS unit, there's one for sale today for $20 in a Woot deal (http://www.woot.com/)

And if someone wants to buy one for non pain relief, I'm not judging.

Whoa. Mine cost two years of arguing with the insurance company, plus about $100 out of pocket.
