I was about to say what Le N said.
Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I think le n might have the right idea. Get your message out first.
Cool pictures, omnis!
I did all the dishes, cleaned the stove, swept the kitchen, broke down some boxes, and talked to family. Now time to shower and go see Hunger Games! Whee!
Contact employers first and let them know you have a stalker.
I agree. It happens more than you might think. We have had two employees have to alert us aboutthis kind of thing One had a restraining order out on an ex, who had come to her home and threatened to come to the office. The other was in your shoes, with a person who "might" just call us out of sheer assholishness. Businesses tend to understand this--there are a LOT of no-boundary-having troubled people out there.
Working on it right now.
This is good advice.
Also, keep a log of any contact, attempts at contact, FB messgae screenshots, emails, voicemails and texts, and ask people to keep a log of contacts made by him.
If you need to file a restraining order (and I am not familiar with CA's stalking and/or harassment laws, so I can't advise beyond that), a log of any communications will be invaluable.
Oh man, you guys. I found out this afternoon that one of my co-workers passed away yesterday. G. had had major heart surgery in January (valves replaced, plus at least 2 bypasses), but it went well, and he stayed off work for 2 months and didn't come back until the doctor cleared him, and even then he came in half days. G. came back 2 weeks ago, worked a week of half days, and then this past week he called to say he was back in the hospital because he had a lot of fluid building up that needed to be drained.
Thursday (which is the last day of the week for us), one of the other editors and I were the last 2 people there, other than Big!Boss. Around 5, Big!Boss told us that G.'s wife had called to tell us that he was in the ICU. Big!Boss didn't really get the details, which is fine.
When my boss called me this afternoon, she said she didn't have any details of what exactly caused his death. I assume heart failure, but it might be something else.
Man. I'm just numb.
I'm sorry, Steph. That's such a shock.
Sorry to hear that, Steph.
Steph, I'm sorry. That's awful.
I'm so sorry to hear that, Steph.
