[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Give her tons of love and congratulations!

Clearly, in light of the Wallytea union, it's a very auspicious day on which to wed.

I'm headed to vw's wedding shower today!

Throw in some extra hugs for the rest of us, would you? Also, do you know if they have a registry anywhere?

Sail, she's registered at Macys and William Sonoma.

I will be sure to give her extra hugs from the Buffistas.

The status is NOT quo.

Just heard from the vet. The news is either good or very bad depending on what happens over the next week. She is eating again and most of her bloodwork was normal...except some very high protein markers. She may just have a bacterial infection, which is treatable and will be fine. Or she could have FIP, which is an infectious, fatal disease that, in a worst case scenario, could kill every cat in our house since they've all been exposed. I should note that that last scenario is extremely unlikely since transmission of the mutated virus isn't that easy and most cats never develop the fatal version even of exposed, but having this hanging over my head right now is crippling.

I can't even tell you how desperately I need it to just be an infection.

I'm going to pick her up in an hour and start her meds. They are going to re-check her in a week. If her viral/bacterial load is down and she's gaining weight, it will be okay.

Hoping for an easily treated infection, Pix.

Thanks for the info, sj!

The status is NOT quo.

Mia is doing much better today now that she is home and is much more herself. The vet is leaning towards this being a bad infection rather than something more serious like cancer or FIP given how quickly she is responding to treatment. She's on pills twice a day (that's going to be fun). I just have to believe that's what it is so I don't freak out.

Have a wonderful shower, VW!

Happy Anniversary, Billytea!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Oh, Pix, that's scary. Good vibes for just an easily treated infection.

Congratulations and hugs to vw!

Happy anniversary, billytea and Wallybee! The world is better because you got married. Isn't that awesome?
