Much luck, Jilli!
I slept way longer than I had planned to, but man was I tired. I read two books and drained my phone battery yesterday. Working as an extra can be so depressing in the same way as going other places on the internet; people are so immature, and thoughtless, and cruel. Cutting in line, extended "no, *you're retarded* one-upmanship, etc.
I'm supposed to go canvassing today, but with severe thunderstorms and a tornado watch, I'm thinking that's not going to happen. Frankie is nervous - I'm trying to be as calm as I can, and I gave him his favorite chew treat, and he won't chew it. He's just sitting right in front of me under the kitchen table.
I hope we don't lose power.
Congratulations, Erin! That is fabulous!
Yay, Erin!
I'm sorry the weather has Frankie freaked, smonster.
Excited!!! My first trial was a M/M romance novella, and my 2nd a light BDSM historical novella.
I am THRILLED. WOO!
Thanks, guys!
Erin, that is fantastic! Is that a steady, reliable income? At one point do you surpass your income as teacher? (I ask because I am curious but also because these are the questions I am trying to figure out for myself now that I'm consulting.)
Fun stuff, Erin.
I have convinced Frankie it's okay to nom his treat. His tail is still tucked, but it's better.
Man, I wish I had milk for my tea. Well, I do, but it's expired and I think sour.
Well, it SHOULD be reliable and steady -- not salaried or full-time, but I should have a better idea of how much they'll work me in a month or two.
So I can't answer the second part of the question yet...but I am hoping that this, in addition to becoming part of another client's stable of regular freelancers will push the income to... .well, maybe not what I was making as a FT teacher with 2 Master's and the years of experience, but close?
Definitely past what I was making as an adjunct professor, personally though, unless I am terribly wrong about how many gigs I get per month.
I hope!
