Sometimes when I'm sitting in class... You know, I'm not thinking about class, 'cause that would never happen. I think about kissing you. And it's like everything stops. It's like, it's like freeze frame. Willow kissage.

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Question for the group. I just had a huge anxiety-provoking fight with my mom. Things are going to be okay, but I'm a wreck at the moment and am worried I will not be able to sleep. I sometimes take 10mg of Ambien to help me sleep. How bad would it be if I took 15 or 20 tonight?

And because it needs its own post:

askye, that is awful. I am so sorry.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Anne, I will say that I've taken 20mg and it hasn't killed me. Maybe try 15 and keep that extra half in reserve?

Thrive to spite them

I think you'll be okay. You might be a little more groggy in the morning.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

askye, that's awful. I'm sorry to hear that.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

This. *Or* take 10 at first and see if you fall asleep, but if you can't, take another 5 and see if it nudges you over. But 10 mg might really do it despite the stress (I've been surprised at a regular Ambien dose putting me to sleep when I've been stressed off the charts -- but I realize I'm also just anecdata). And knowing you *can* take more if needed might take the edge off ("the edge" being the worry of "FUCK, what if I can't fall asleep...I really need to fall asleep...FUCK I'm still awake DAMN IT...").

Thank you all very much. I've had a rough time of late, and this just sent me over the edge.

Our wings are not tired.

I'm sorry, Anne. May you achieve renewing rest, alternating between bliss filled dreams and deep sound renewing sleep.

So very sad, askye. What a nightmare.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

What is "the soft kind" of butter? At which point does it start being butter product?

Anne, I'm sorry to hear you had that stress. I hope as little Ambien as possible does work for you. I find it remarkably unpredictable, and I take it regularly. Sometimes it touches me not, sometimes it knocks me out. It doesn't seem to be usefully tied to my state of mind.

Your worry is the worst thing. Anything you can do to reduce your heart rate and get the tension you're holding out of your muscles, etc, will help as much as 5mg of Ambien sometimes.
