I'm fine with some reduction in income. Actually I am fine with a lot, if it's relaced by psychic income.

Psychic income? Not to be underestimated, ever. Although it helps that DH just now got word of a nice raise -- still not enough for us to live on one income, but we'll be a little less squeezed.
Oh lord. I love my psychic income. My psychic bank account is over flowing. It is, frankly, my reason for living. I can't imagine being MORE fulfilled by my craft.
Now, I just need the factual bank account to reflect the same!
It's been 11 years of just making it...while incurring more debt.
If there is a formula for turning it all around, I haven't found it yet. But, I keep trying.
If only I could find a credit card company that would take psychic income. Lord knows they need it.

Oh my god. That would be perfect. I could fund a small nation with my psychic credit and those companies really COULD use some.
I've been challenged, expect MORE challenges and I am obviously still finding my way, but I am getting such a rush and a huge sense of satisfaction from this so far.
Can I just say, I would really, truly love to have an excellent spouse with an excellent income.
I would be totally lying if I said that this had not already crossed my mind WRT StW. He's got big loan debt, yeah, but he's going to make big bank (by my standards) next year. He's actually already kind of subsidizing me by taking me out to eat a few times a week (he doesn't cook. ever. so he'd be eating out anyway and he likes company). (y'all know I'd date him if he was broker than me, right? the money's the cherry on top of a ridiculously delicious sundae)
But anyway. It's looking more and more like I'm going to need to generate some income streams and not wait around for an actual job. I did some brainstorming in the wee smalls last night, and may be looking for guidance soon.

smonster, do you know about TaskRabbit? I wonder if you can get paid to do other's errands until you land something permanent? I thought of MsBelle too. But it's possible I learned about it from MsBelle for I can't remember anything these days.
Who are you people again? Who am I?

javachik, that looks cool. they aren't currently serving NOLA, but I could post an ad for something similar on CL.
Question:
I am preparing a PR campaign for a new endeavor for a friend. It involves preparing press releases, contacting local media outlets, pitching radio, placing notices in local businesses and possibly setting up an affiliate program for local stakeholders.
It should take about 3 weeks.
How much do I charge?
Take into account that this is a a good friend, and the success of this project could fund my going to work of her on a high level in a business that could solve my _only_ problem.
I'm more aware than ever that I need to be partnered. This is an unexpected opportunity. I want to take complete advantage of it at the same time, I need to make money!
