Wesley: Hey. Hey, Gunn. Is something weird going on? … Charles, you just peed on my shoes. Gunn: I'll be damned. That's weird.

I'm glad to see we at least agree on the guy that I calibrate the 1 to 10 scale with, Steph!

Damn, Ben Browder is so hot.

And he gets even hotter when the leather pants arrive.

If the Boy gets bored or cranky with the next few episodes, feel free to skip ahead to "DNA Mad Scientist". That ought to reassure him that Farscape will go where so many other shows wouldn't. (To be fair, that's less true now than it used to be: BSG was certainly willing to do all sorts of unexpected shit.)

I'm trying to remember if there's anything of import in the episodes in between. Probably not, huh?

Ben's in a tank top for some of those episodes, which I consider important.

Huh, I've been out of the fandom long enough I forget which eps those are. Um, "I, ET". Oh, here's a list: [link]

Okay, yeah. The only ones that have much long-term importance are "Exodus from Genesis" (where you learn about Sebacean susceptibility to heat) and "PK Tech Girl" (where you meet Gilina the first time). Although I like "Throne for a Loss" because Browder says the moment he manhandles Rygel is the moment where Rygel becomes a person and not just a puppet.

"DNA Mad Scientist" gets you a bunch of interesting characterization (like what Zhaan is willing to do!), plus it really opens up the universe pretty widely. From there to the end of the season, there's only two clunkers: "Rhapsody in Blue" and "Jeremiah Crichton" (which even the show's own writers acknowledge is pretty crappy). And of course the run from "Through the Looking Glass" to "Family Ties" is just fabulous (with the possible exception of "Bone to Be Wild").

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

That's the one.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

We just got a huge rain storm, and there's a tornado warning for several surrounding counties. No word of tornadoes hitting here, but tons of wind.
