Ben Stein is a complete jerk.
ION - I came into the office this morning to find the breakers for the office area OFF (this means computers not properly shut down, overnight faxes missed, fridge defrosted) and my computer infected with a super annoying virus/malware thing. SO I have been researching how to remove it thus far. Also it is raining, so all jobs today are cancelled and with no air running all night/morning, the office is super muggy.
I read Stein's defense and it is completely outrageous. I am not sure what he was thinking to allow that to be published.
Now I feel bad that I just bought some Visine the other day....
I think Google is trying to protect me from a rage blackout - when I search Ben Stein under News, it gives me the TDS response instead of his original article.
[Hulu, OTOH, doesn't believe I'm in the United States. Which is understandable, given my IP address, but annoying.]
Jessica,
if you are prone to a rage blackout, I would strongly recommend you not read Stein's bullshit.
The huffington post had a good article about Stein and a "French philosopher" who also defended DSK.
Google is being good to you.
who also defended DSK.
at first, thanks to my sinuses, I read this as 'defriended DSK'.
I heard about it from, I think, Ed Schultz. Which is a bit like seeing a football coach at a "Take Back The Night" rally, but he did put it on "Psycho Talk" where it belongs.
I would never read Stein's byline...why should I? Anyone? Bueller?
(Still takes 3 people to do Keith's job. Sigh. Ed's got the sporty bits, Rachel's smart and funny, and O'Donnell's East Coast and knows more people than you.)
So Firefox on this computer has a UK IP address, but IE appears to be in the US. Score!
