1) What's the last thing that made you smile unexpectedly?
2) Tell me something you like about yourself right now?
1) Wallybee's parents checking out the latest photos of Ryan that we'd put onto the computer.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Can you draw teddy bears?
I hope the crank callers roast over a slow fire in hell, Sparky. It does look like you're going to get some good coverage.
Oh, sparky, the crank callers suck. I am so sorry.
1. Thing that made me smile -- us in professional development. We made a bingo card.
2. Thing that I like -- I have already swum today and I am home at 4:00! Yeah efficiency!
The Christian band that came out to us and wrote a song about our kiddoes is doing an apocalypse party! They are that kind of band, though, irreverent, funny, self-deprecating.
1. Seeing the flower buds on my hydrangeas.
2. On my third run this week (which is also my third run in the past 18 months) this morning I finally rediscovered my stride.
Oh, man. A friend of mine just found out her job is likely going away in August. She's due to have a baby in September. Uggggh. I said, well at least she could get unemployment if she's laid off, but her company's maternity leave policy is 12 weeks at 100%, and her salary is large. She will be screwed if they can't find another position for her, and somewhat screwed anyway, since it probably will be in a different area of the country if there is another job. In short: think good thoughts for my friend?
ita,
there is a new TED talk on chronic pain. It just showed up in my list of podcasts.
My work is batshit insane. A critical bit of software (database replication) is not working yet. We're still going live with it Tuesday. Which means a frantic scramble to change a lot of the code to update on 2 separate databases simultaneously. Which I found out at one. Guess what I'm doing the next 3 days? Head of the developers is losing his cool with people.
It's just all sorts of fucked up.
And I just noticed something has chewed on the trim of my screened doors. I suspect squirrels. Or rats. Anyway, not amused.
