Huh, I just got a Service Award at work for a mini-project I worked on. Not huge, but not bad either. We'll see how much is left after taxes, but this just made my day.
Similarly, congrats, Dana!

Cool Dana.
Her old husband's new wife who is her new husband's old wife? Their Thanksgivings are going to be sooooo exciting.
Picture this with 6 kids (3 from 1 couple, 2 from the other, and 1 from the remix) and you have my friends in London. (The original couple are actually my ex and the woman he cheated on me with). Good times.
Words cannot express how much you dodged a bullet with that one, megan. That's exponentially worse than the worst ascot on the planet.
Yay, Dana! And yay, Frank!
And now, if I appear again at any point today someone needs to come over here and kick my ass, hard, because this is going to be a Work Till I Drop day and noodling around with the Buffistas is sadly not permitted.
I am salvaging the day, and the boss did call in to check on things, so I am feeling much better.
Yay for things turning out better than expected on several fronts!
My lunch date offered to reschedule for Thursday so now I am free to do laundry. Which seems like an odd thing to be happy about, but I am.

I believe ex-wife said roughly the same thing while I was there. Well, not the ascot part.
At least the kids are living such a bizarro situation they think nothing of the fact that for some reason their Dad's ex-girlfriend is now friends with their Mom.
I stopped by the local farmers market on my way into work this morning (today was the first day they were open). Not a lot of booths set up yet since it is so early in the season, but I was able to talk with the tool sharpener about whether he would be able to do my knives for me next week between 9:00 am and lunchtime, which he can. Yay! There was one guy selling pickles and pickled beets that I'll revisit next week--I tried one of his dill pickles with garlic, and that was yummy. My dad's the pickled beet fan, and I'll see if he wants me to pick him up some beets with horseradish. Also, the main produce booth had some wonderful-smelling strawberries for $5/pint, which is pricy but the scent was amazing.
I wish my market had that. I really need someone to sharpen a chef's knife.
Thanks juliana!
Someone who's moving just gave me a nice, heavy knife but it's dull as dishwater. I have no idea how they use it.
