Sue, continued good thoughts for your dad and added ~ma for your mom. That is quite the confluence of stressful events.
On a very different note, I'm keeping the pi baby picture open in a tab and keep clicking back to it and squeeing.
Also, I think I shall have some tea now.
Note to coworkers in the other office,
Calling me a rock star does not actually make it better that you have no fewer than 3 emergency requests a week and consistently fail to schedule things on time. Please stop doing it.

Sue, thinking of you and your family.
showered.
I drank too much coffee today, am jittery. On the one hand, I am getting a wee bit done, on the other I don't like feeling like this.
I'm staying home from school tonight (I can catch the lecture on the web tomorrow) because this cold is shifting from incipient to actual, and I'm scheduled for a six hour shift tomorrow, damn it.

Yeah, it's a lot, especially for my mom.
The tea discussion inspired me to make a cup of the pear caramel truffle tea Jilli sent in my Secret Santa gift. It's like dessert, it's so yummy.
I'm so glad you like it! Oh, and Teppy, the Red Velvet Cupcake tea is totally worth getting. Trust me.
I just had an email conversation with my agent that was NOT onerous (very few conversations with her are, actually), and kind of exciting. Not about the proposal I sent in, but other stuff.
The onerous task that IS looming over me is working on a new GCS column. I really, really need to do that. I may do a write-up of the Vampire Ball, and then work on an advice column.
Still chatting. I kinda want to end cause I have other stuff I need to do, including cleaning up cat barf, but we are havving a good conversation...
Rick Santorum says that abortion is the reason Social Security will be in trouble [link] If we had enough unwanted children coming into the workforce, everything would be peachy.

And they magically don't need any resources for the 18 years (give or take) before they enter the workforce?
