Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

At my last apartment, someone on my floor burned an empty coffee pot. Someone else called the fire department. They did that loud banging on the door thing, looking for the source. If no one answered a door, they'd pry the top part of the door open a few inches to see if that apartment was the source.

The guy who burned his coffee pot did not tell the firemen that he caused the smoke. Eventually they went away.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Yikes, aurelia! Glad it wasn't any worse. I hope your resumed bath is not interrupted.

People keep bees on rooftops in cities, Sue. Or so I hear. I don't think they mind traffic particularly, they fly higher than car level when they are not flower-to-flower.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The show Good Christian Bitches is now called Good Christian Belles. How disappointing.

SMG's show got picked up.

I left the house at 8:30 this morning. I got home at 5...

Market, pedicure, haircut, swim, target, trader joe's. Home. Laundrating.

I went to the pool in Ellicott City (very nice, they have 2 pools; the therapy pool is warmer and has the lift, but the main pool is an awesome cool temp.) They have digital timers which are easier to read through foggy goggles, which meant I could track my lap times & I learned something interesting: on long swims, I pretty much speed up, not slow down. Now, part of that might be me racing the clock unconsciously, but... Dropped the first minute after lap 26 (57.6sec,) the second after 46 (57sec), the third after 63 (56.4 eta to fix math) and the last 9 averaged 55seconds even. Huh.

Pool was cool, and I do swim faster, and there was the clock, but those were not the results I was expecting.

Now I need to do my manicure.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Also, archive of our own... I'm embarrassed to admit that Keith/ Rachel is a favorite. It's kind of...wrong. But, you know, tender angst. And quipping.

OMG! I have GOT to read this!

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I am clean and clothed. I realized that the last time emergency responders came to my door it was the police and I was in my pajamas. I feel like such a cliché.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Again, the vital question is, were the firefighters hot? The internet needs to know.

Also, it turns out today instead of Do All The Things, it is Have All The Good Intentions day. Fail. And it's not even evening yet. I have gotten through a good chunk of Game of Thrones, though.

I don't even know what I'd do if I were to stop having good intentions and do stuff. Go up in the attic? Weed? Dishes? Receipts? I just don't know. Thus the ennui. But summer is upon us, I really don't have time for days like this.

I wish I could say I was paying attention to that, but really as I was answering the door I was thinking of how to keep them from dragging me out of the building without my cats. I can report that they were tall. And intense. Beyond that my memory fails.

Yay Seska!

ita, I hope you get some relief.

Zappos, why so difficult?!!

There's a pair of boots I want, and the color I want seems a little rare. So I set one of those alerts, so if they get those boots in that color in my size, they send me an email.

Twice now, I've gotten the email, clicked on the link, and discovered that the boots in that color in my size had sold out already. BAH. This is the hazard of having very medium-size feet, I guess.
