I'm using an electronic one right now and when things get checked off they just disappear and that is not nearly as satisfying.
Ah. Yes. I find that style of list unsatisfying. When I was keeping them on livejournal, I used to use strikethrough for that very reason.
Anyway! Feeders have been restored. Hummingbird wars have already resumed. All is well with the world.
Dishes: in progress. Laundry: gathered. Todo list: updated! Students: hangout time scheduled.
Oh man, that sounds good.
I KNOW. I even batted my eyelashes at the other half and NOTHING. ::sniff::
I have mint chocolate chip cones. They're a little melted from me being tardy getting them in the freezer after the Schwans man came, so they should squish through the internets pretty easy.
Because the incompetent mailroom in the Home Office misplaced a package, I don't have to work tomorrow. Yay!
Then go home and kiss Hec a lot because it's our anniversary; possibly also crack open the fancy bottle of wine one of my bosses gave me for Administrative Assistants Day.
I should get on making a meal worthy of that bottle of wine.
I think the Men With Belted Sweaters would all have monkey tail moustaches.
msbelle, you are reminding me so much of my friend Alison. She and her husband came out to visit SF once, and we were standing outside a very cool house in North Beach and the owners arrived and invited us up to see the view from their roof.
Alison kept shooting us daggers with her eyes as we trooped up there and then she made a big display of taking lots of pictures of them and us and the roof.
When we came down she explained how she was certain they were serial killers luring us to our deaths and she wanted to make sure there was evidence on the camera. She couldn't imagine that people would just be nice and want to show off their view to strangers.
The funniest part for me was that she wanted to leave evidence for the crime scene investigators, but was too polite to run screaming from the house.
Yep, she was from NYC, the paranoia incubator.
Timelies all!
3LF is performing at the Maryland Fairy Festival this weekend. We have a one hour set both Saturday and Sunday. I hope it doesn't rain too much...
Back from the grilled cheese food truck. The line was huge - it took almost an hour! AND no tots! The fryer was down, but I did get a sharp cheddar and bacon on French with bacon aioli for dipping. Now I want DQ --- hummmm I wonder if I could get away with running to the mall for a minute or two?
I made myself a grilled cheese with bacon and tomato, and it's pretty darn good! Although the melting could be better.
