I couldn't believe it the first twenty times you told us, but it's starting to sink in now.

Because books.

Go, Kathy! Halfway is kickass.

I remember hearing that, bon, and I think there are two major sinus headaches I can remember that I definitely qualified.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Did you guys know that sinus headaches are actually migraines? Now I don't feel like such a sinus wimp!

Wow, I did not know that.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

My sinus headaches were ultimately diagnosed as migraines. But are ALL sinus headaches really migraines? Cause that is news to me.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Check this really cool timelapse video out! (Chicago makes several really neat appearances in it.)

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I don't have any work to do that doesn't require motivation to do so I'm not doing any.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

A member of my writing group and I signed up for a two-day seminar in Charlotte, with guest speakers Lee Young-Li, Joseph Baranti, a local poet and professor, sessions on university presses and literary journals, an afternoon of Native American dancers and storytellers, and Anne Lamott.

Annie spoke about writing for Salon, so I checked it out, found my way to TT, and to Agnes Bertiz. I've rarely been as happy and grateful as when I found you guys.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Congratulations Kathy on the weight loss! You're so inspiring.

I feel like I'm walking around in a weird bubble these days. Things are changing just a bit too fast for me and I can't keep on top of it all. Weird.

Sinus headaches are actually migraines? Really? Who knew? (OK bon bon evidently, but not me.)

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Man, TT. I used to lurk occasionally, getting there because of the Buffy articles.

But then with layoffs and stuff, I lost people when the migration happened, until in Nov or so of 2001, Jilli (whom I barely knew--we'd been on a Goth Thrifting expo together) replied to my mournful complaint about the lack of Buffy content on Salon with the fateful words "World Crossing."

The rest is history.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Hee. I found the original article here from 1998. Yes, that is my stupid handle. I was a fantasy gamer, okay? You'll probably recognize my speaking style, though. And funnily enough, I'm talking about gaming as community.

Anyway, that player interview changed my life. I found you guys. The gaming company hired me. I learned programming. The extra part-time income, worked remotely, gave me the cushion and confidence I needed to move to Kansas, where I got a better job since I now could program, which paid off my debts, which allowed me to move to Arizona to start my own company doing what I'm passionate about.
