Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I'd feed gold bars if I got paid in gold bars.

Baby goats are fun. Hell, goats are fun based on my interactions with them at the B'ham zoo.

May is kicking my ass.

See Jessica Rabbit dressed up like Slave Leia

Her boob-to-waist ratio is just too absurd for me to find this hot.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Goats are the worst! I'm still traumatized from my childhood petting zoo incident.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Why am I facebook friends with my cousins? One is posting all sorts of stuff about how she doesn't think that bin Laden is really dead (or, if he is, then he has been for years) while another is posting wondering why we cheer for the death of one mass murderer but we're so quick to forgive the mass murderer Michael Vick.

I've heard enough scary stories about goats to conclude the best defense is eating them.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I once read a rule of thumb that you do not tip if the person providing the service is also the owner/sole proprietor. As in, my aunt is a massage therapist and works out of her home; she's not part of a spa, medical office, or other group. Therefore, all the money from the cost of the massage goes to her; she doesn't have a boss or any other business entity that gets any of the fee for the massage.

When the service provider works for someone else (hair stylist in a salon, etc.), tipping makes sense, because the service provider is obviously not taking home the whole $75 for the massage.

Although possibly I have been engaging in jackassery when it comes to not tipping sole proprietors.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Why am I facebook friends with my cousins?

The same reason I am facebook friends with my sister?

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

I have no judgement on tipping. Generally when it comes to tipping etiquette, I ask Dr. Google.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I think that's different, since servers are paid a reduced wage based on the presumption that that people will tip 15%.

That is actually true about many service jobs.

Really? I've never heard of that outside of servers. (Farm workers are another category with reduced minimum wage reqs, but not really relevant here.)

Although possibly I have been engaging in jackassery when it comes to not tipping sole proprietors.

That's what I learned, but it always seemed awkward. (And sometimes, how would you know?)
