Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

The tree sex is killing me.

It's brutal. Do not enjoy.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Possibly the highlight of my afternoon was an opinion poll call, which I assume was paid for by the Romney campaign, since they only asked about Obama v. Romney, in addition to a shitload of other questions.

When he asked about my political views, I said I was somewhat liberal, until I realized it was a national poll, and I should say very liberal.

"already on the kiss-cam with Karl Marx"-

Tep, I thought of you a couple days ago, because we just watched Anthony Bourdain take one of his chef rivals(Eric something, though not the French guy) to a Skyline place. Bourdain loved it...Rival Chef From Ohio looked like he was gonna gag(Which I suppose AB loved even more, cause they got it like that.) I think I would like it though chili without Beans and with cinnamon would be an adjustment. Still good on a hot dog. I bet the people on the Bourdain page were worried about my "No Reservations" fanfic cause they thought it meant Chef Slash. These two guys do seem to have the fight-and-love dynamic down pat, but so far I don't mean porn.

I just accidentally did the right thing! I had been meaning to self-clean my oven when it was cold, figuring the heat thrown off would heat the house. But I forgot, so I'm doing it now, and am glad it's warm enough out to want the windows open, because it's stinky.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I think I would like it though chili without Beans and with cinnamon would be an adjustment. Still good on a hot dog.

You can get it with beans (though I've never seen it with beans on a hot dog -- the bean variation is usually when the chili is on spaghetti).

Rival Chef From Ohio looked like he was gonna gag

It's definitely not to everyone's liking. I hear it's easier to cope with if you try to not think of it as what most people consider "chili," because it's definitely not like that.

Dang. Now I want some Skyline.

It doesn't really look like it, either, except it's the right color. But if it's on a Bourdain show and doesn't have eyeballs in it, it totally looks like a win from here. I don't care how hot I think he is, not eating eyeballs. Nor hearts, nor heads. Then, of course, he found the other guy's gross-out funny. So eventually Ohio chef tasted it and liked it, despitr presentation!fail

OMG, today.

First, to market, where there are VA strawberries for the first time! So they were bought.

Then Target and TJs.

And then to do some yardwork. Brian saw me out, so he came out. I pruned the bushes (sawed off a whole branch and it looks so much better!) and pulled weeds and raked up leaves and then we cleaned the sidewalks of leaf and other plantlike debris -and street- of 3/4 of our street. Looks so much better. Then around to back, where he cleaned up the alley (and Anna came home and joined us) as I weeded and devined my little plot. And then there was beer and wine and assisting in putting a new windowscreen in and then it had been 4 hours and I needed to go to the pool. Swam my 2 miles and when I got back, noticed Anna had powerwashed my porch of all the pollen.

And painted the door (touchups) and laundry part done and now Loki is next door, keeping Anna company while she eats. I keep hearing "Loki, no.." HAHAHA.

Oh, and we decided to go in together to repaint the concrete on our porches. Brian knows how to do it and what to get. We'll probably do it in July.

Love this place.
