Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

OK, this is why I'm not a housewife. Or a good housekeeper of any kind: I just spent like 45 minutes or more? cleaning my kitchen counter -- I have a lot of counter, with a lot of crap on it. I took everything off, cleaned it all, cleaned the crap out of the counter, etc. But now I want to stop! And that's not even the whole kitchen done.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

We walked the March for Babies (thanks Jesse!) today. It was fun! If you call K melting down because of the number of people and having to carry 35 extra lbs each because we backpacked the kids.

Then we went to the LA Festival of Books which they moved to USC. I do not like the new locale. But they did have free ice cream.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Congrats, Kat!

I just caught it out of the corner of my eye, but Ambala Dhaba doesn't look like it's there anymore. I need to google. I hope they just moved.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

The tree sex is killing me.

It's brutal. Do not enjoy.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Possibly the highlight of my afternoon was an opinion poll call, which I assume was paid for by the Romney campaign, since they only asked about Obama v. Romney, in addition to a shitload of other questions.

When he asked about my political views, I said I was somewhat liberal, until I realized it was a national poll, and I should say very liberal.

"already on the kiss-cam with Karl Marx"-

Tep, I thought of you a couple days ago, because we just watched Anthony Bourdain take one of his chef rivals(Eric something, though not the French guy) to a Skyline place. Bourdain loved it...Rival Chef From Ohio looked like he was gonna gag(Which I suppose AB loved even more, cause they got it like that.) I think I would like it though chili without Beans and with cinnamon would be an adjustment. Still good on a hot dog. I bet the people on the Bourdain page were worried about my "No Reservations" fanfic cause they thought it meant Chef Slash. These two guys do seem to have the fight-and-love dynamic down pat, but so far I don't mean porn.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I just accidentally did the right thing! I had been meaning to self-clean my oven when it was cold, figuring the heat thrown off would heat the house. But I forgot, so I'm doing it now, and am glad it's warm enough out to want the windows open, because it's stinky.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I think I would like it though chili without Beans and with cinnamon would be an adjustment. Still good on a hot dog.

You can get it with beans (though I've never seen it with beans on a hot dog -- the bean variation is usually when the chili is on spaghetti).

Rival Chef From Ohio looked like he was gonna gag

It's definitely not to everyone's liking. I hear it's easier to cope with if you try to not think of it as what most people consider "chili," because it's definitely not like that.

Dang. Now I want some Skyline.
