High School. With my dad. I think this might be at Sea World.

Emo blurry college. Must be a thing. Note the roommate's Ren & Stimpy poster. My walls contained newspaper clippings about revolutionary action in Venezuela. Also twee religious cards. Yes. I was that kind of college student.

Circa 95, with headless Washburn bass that wishes it was a Steinberger. That's my first ever apartment, our studio. We put the computer in the kitchen.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Hi there from Vegas!! I got here yesterday, and managed to blow $47 at the penny slots. Oh well.

Today, I was going to catch some rays next to their pool, but it was only in the mid-70s and really windy, so I stayed in most of the day. My BIL had a tooth extraction this am, so I took care of him the rest of the day.

Tomorrow, we're going to see a friend of hers in a bike race and then going to see Rita Rudner and then Madame Toussands (both at the Venetian where Sis works). Sunday will be a pedicure (I don't have enough for a manicure) and then relaxing.

Monday, I get to meet both -t and Perkins--woot!!! Then fly home just as it gets warmer. Typical.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

I watched the Wedding while on the elliptical. I smiled lots, it was sweet. Loved all the greenery in Westminster Abbey - it's normally a rather dark and dreary place in spite of all the awesomeness.

And while i sorta get the impetus behind hats (having to keep ladies' hair covered during services) the creepy hats perched on foreheads baffle me. How do they stay on? Spirit glue? Plus, not flattering. And must make it tough to see. And it bugs that all the men have to take off their hats indoors, but not the women. I'm astonished Pippa managed to move in that getup, looked like she was sewn into it.

And between the dark eyes and hair, tiara and veil that sorta looked like a Tudor-era hood...i had a total Anne Boleyn moment watching the carriage procession. May Princess Kate's legacy be less bloody.

OMG, is this really prince Harry's date??? He's gonna have to step it up a bit.

eta: dunno if it's the light, or the makeup, or allergies, but she looks a bit meth-ed up.

liese, I love the pics of you. Especially the one of you and your dad -- Sea World in Ohio? It's closed!! (We went often as a kid because it was 45 minutes away and in HS I had friends who worked there).

I'm UP! Grace has already gone potty (please say there are diaperless days in our future) but I dropped her nebulizer cup in the dirty potty. awesome. sigh.

Now she's watching me type.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

There are diaperless days in your future, Kat.

I love everyone's pictures! And remembered that pictures of my most unfortunate phase are on facebook. Awesome.

I have to cook something today, but I can't decide if it's spaghetti sauce or chili. Hmmmmm.

chili! More options with chili, plus chili can be used with spaghetti.

So one of the only supports Grace qualifies for is diapers provided by a medical supply company (from the Regional Center who supports kids and adults with life long conditions). We haven't started getting them, but they are an off brand: [link] We have another month at least before the government diapers arrive. I'd really like for us to not need them.

Looks unlikely.

The phrase "government diapers" makes me laugh, sorry.

And I would never put chili on spaghetti! At home -- if I were in Cincy or similar, of course I would sample the local customs.

Art Crawl!!!

Eventing Nation has a picture of the naughty horse that tossed his rider and went running through the parade at the wedding yesterday.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

First 'day' of the job ran 3 hours, because they didn't have the computer set up for me, the guy who actually shows me what to do isn't in until Tuesday, and my new manager was only in until 3 PM. So a bit of an anti-climax, but encouraging that I'll be treated OK if I can tolerate some messiness.

Also salving my expectations: I'll get paid more for those three hours than I would working for 12 hours at the grocery store. o.O
