Wash: Well, I wash my hands of it. It's a hopeless case. I'll read a nice poem at the funeral. Something with imagery. Zoe: You could lock the door and keep the power-hungry maniac at bay. Wash: Oh, no, I'm starting to like this poetry idea now. Here lies my beloved Zoe, my autumn flower, somewhat less attractive now she's all corpsified and gross...

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Happy Birthday, Alyson!!!

Because books.

Happy birthday to Noah and Grace! With double the cake!

Holli, I feel sure someone is going to suggest Angry Birds.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Happy Birthday Noah and Grace!

I am having basic colour theory problems. Can someone not color-tone-blind (as in, nothing clinical, I just don't *get* it) help me with the basics of choosing highlight and shadow colours?

What do you need to know? What media are you working in?

Holli, check the Tech thread--there've been a few different "what apps should I get?" discussions over the past few months.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

OMG, my family. I can't tell the story so it makes any sense, but my mother and I just cracked up for ten minutes about almost getting in trouble at the Alzheimer's quilt exhibit we went to yesterday. I do kind of feel bad for the poor woman who was trying to give us some literature about signs and symptoms, because all three of us were like, "Oh, WE KNOW."

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

What media are you working in?

Digital. I'm trying to apply highlights and shadows for a blue-grey jacket and beige fur, with an overall blue tinge to the whole thing. But I look at the grey jacket, and I just want to give it light grey highlights. But I have been told not to do that.

4 years. Man.

How ridiculous is this: I've taken to employing the squirter to keep Loki off the shelves. Except even if I don't squirt it, just shake it, he goes off and avoids me, TOTALLY not trusting me not to squirt him at random until I coax him back out and make up to him.

Dude. Just stay off the shelves. This cat has such a tender ego. Gets his fweewings hurt soooo easily.
