xpost with tech: does anyone know how to watch a video with iTunes? I rented The Impossible Astronaut and it appears to be playing but I can't see of hear anything!

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Oops! Sorry!

Ehh, no worries. I find plenty of things on my own to impulse buy. Good practice learning to "surf the urge."

It should just open up within iTunes. Click on your iTunes icon and see if that's where your screen's focus is.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Oh Gar, I am so sorry. Good wishes for you.

Gud, good luck on the job hunt.

Today was A Day. The big giant nasty hives? Still on my arm and has now spread from wrist to shoulder (but only on the underside). Eunice, the RN at the blood center, tells me it's an allergic reaction to the antiseptic. It will be with me for the next two weeks. Sigh.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Oy Kat, I hates hives. Can you take anything to help with the discomfort? Benadryl perhaps?

Nail polish purchasing crisis averted

Whereas I just embraced the inevitable. The Gemma will be mine, as will several of her pretty little friends.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Did they use some weird antiseptic?

Do they put extra salt in salt and vinegar chips, or are they really vinegar chips? God, these own brand things are puckery.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Do they put extra salt in salt and vinegar chips, or are they really vinegar chips? God, these own brand things are puckery.

We have a brand here proclaiming its salt and vinegar to be "sea salt and balsamic vinegar". I love it when they try to make it sound all fancy like that. It's salt from the salty sea! Which is salty. Now with added adjectives!

meara - Apr 26, 2011 7:31:05 pm PDT #5466 of 30001

Ooh, Kat. Benadryl cream?

I have no idea if there's extra salt in salt and vinegar chips. They're kind of addictive.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I love Tim's Cascade Chips Salt and Vinegar style. Mmmm.

Awww, I just looked up my favorite English professor and she's still at Exeter and she looks really good for somebody going on sixty.

Sea Salt really does taste better than regular salt. Well OK judgement call, maybe not to everybody. Different in a way that many prefer. Balsamic vinegar, if they use real balsamic vinegar, is slightly sweeter than regular vinegar. I'm not sure that is a flavor I'd actually like on chips. If they want to do something other plain white vinegar, why not go for malt vinegar? Goes well on fish and chips, and goes well on chips without the fish too.
