You like ships. You don't seem to be looking at the destinations. What you care about is the ships, and mine's the nicest.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I love Tim's Cascade Chips Salt and Vinegar style. Mmmm.

Awww, I just looked up my favorite English professor and she's still at Exeter and she looks really good for somebody going on sixty.

Sea Salt really does taste better than regular salt. Well OK judgement call, maybe not to everybody. Different in a way that many prefer. Balsamic vinegar, if they use real balsamic vinegar, is slightly sweeter than regular vinegar. I'm not sure that is a flavor I'd actually like on chips. If they want to do something other plain white vinegar, why not go for malt vinegar? Goes well on fish and chips, and goes well on chips without the fish too.

Plain old Morton's is bitter to me. IIRC, they add something to it, possibly to make it not clump? And that additive is what makes it bitter (maybe). I really like TJ's pink Himalayan salt.

Unrelatedly, Typo, if I didn't say it earlier, fuck your cancer, man. All my health mojo is going your way.

Are you tasting iodine?

Maybe? I just know it's bitter compared to the pink stuff (which I did NOT buy just because it's pink, ISTG).

ION, I am craving a cheeseburger with avocado and bacon SO BAD right now. It's almost 1 a.m. A burger is not sensible (b/c it's past my bedtime, and I don't think making my body digest a hunk of meat while I sleep is very nice) or feasible (since this is a mostly vegetarian house, and there's not even store-brand ground beef in the freezer with which I could attempt a poor facsimile of said burger).

Bah. (Also, a friend on FB reminded me of how good black beans are on burgers, and now I AM SO HUNGRY. I just started prednisone at noon for my back; could I have steroid munchies after only 12 hours? Ye gods.)

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I think 'roid munchies could hit that fast.

Burger burger burger. Damn you, prednisone!

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I do agree with you Steph about Mortons. My sister says I use weird salt, but I swear it's just my aversion to plain old table salt.

Now I am too. Grrrrrr. I have no avocado, no bacon and no burger. I do have a car...
