Doesn't matter that we took him off that boat, Shepherd, it's the place he's going to live from now on.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I ran into our old neighbors on the street. Maria and Mo own the house next door, but they both work in biotech and had an opportunity to go to Switzerland about four years ago. When EM originally moved out, she moved into their basement apartment, so Emmett grew up with their then-puppy Maklo.

Maklo grew up to be the biggest, most handsome German Shepherd ever and Emmett loved him with all his heart. And Emmett was very sad when they moved to Switzerland and took Maklo away.

But he's much much sadder now because he found out that Maklo died last year. In fact, I think he's got a broken heart. He's face down on his bed and sobbing. What can you do except grieve?

But he's never really lost anything he loved before.

Aw, poor Emmett.

I am at my parents' house for the first time since their cat died, and I miss the little guy.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Oh, poor Emmett. {{{hugs}}}

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Jesse I saw Ellen already and you are not wrong because Paul walker is hot like a hot hot thing.

People, I cannot stop working in my yard. I did two round of stuff this afternoon and then did more after dinner tonight. The stuff is just so overgrown. I am chopping down nandina bushes and the more and more of some bush I do not have a name for, but that I am calling the devil bush because it has horrible spreading roots and will send up shoots forever.

I mean, what is "good" porn, but porn that women don't like?

Er...I'm sure there's stuff. I'm with Jesse on this one, I can see the desire/need.

And I'm also with Teppy--I went to a whole leather weekend last weekend, where there were THREE dungeons, including one that was open 24 hours! And in half the classes I went to I was like "OMG, can't you just tell us good blowjob techniques without being weird and overly sexual about it?!?" Which...I realize is a bit ridiculous.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Aw, poor Emmett. Sad.

Jesse I saw Ellen already and you are not wrong because Paul walker is hot like a hot hot thing.

I knew you would like that!

Tammy Taylor really collect broken birds, doesn't she?

I love how FNL did a total school/character reboot and I care about them just as much as the Panthers. They aren't replacements, they're the coach's circle. I rarely see that done well.

Dominic's cat (she adopted him as her human pretty much the moment they brought him home from the hospital) Miss Kitty died a couple years back. I accidentally called their current cat by that name (honestly, I always ended up switching them when both were alive) and was told by a very serious 8 year old: "Please don't talk about Miss Kitty. She got hit by a car and died and it makes me really sad to think about her because I miss her so much. I wish she wasn't dead." I just hugged him and said I do know how he feels, that I lost my cat when I was 9.

And of course then he wanted to know all about my dead cat. Hah.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I can see the desire/need.

But can you see the ability to fulfill it? I mean, do you think Fleshbot has been covering bad porn for straight women all this time, and there's a biweekly post that can amend this because there's that much commonality in what straight women want out of porn?

If it was titled "Porn This Straight Woman Likes" I'd dig it. But, seriously, I don't actually think my tastes in porn are significantly closer to your average straight chick's than to a random gay guy's. Or lesbian's. Maybe even the famed discerning straight guy. I just think there are much more important unifying factors in sexual getting offness.

"OMG, can't you just tell us good blowjob techniques without being weird and overly sexual about it?!?"

Now, that's a fine line to walk.
