Salad good.

So yesterday was the 2 year anniversary of closing. Fitting I spent it with neighbors. Monday is 2 years of the first night spent here.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

First, happy birthday Beth and Bonny!

Next, I found out my "real mom's"* son finished the Boston Marathon. 4 hours and change.

* so she's a close friend of my mom's but we are more alike than my mom. Her daughter is like mine. She also bought for me today the zombie heels and matching purse! I have an abundance of awesome moms!

Always Anti-fascist!

Schaefer was either on Homicide or The Wire...I forget which. Just remembered the scandalized harruffing.

He did a shitton for B'more. Camden Yards, Harborplace, feet in the street, lighting fires under people. But he could also be an unmitigated ass whose actions undermined him in later years and really? Aren't at all forgivable.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Sounds like Baltimore's own Huey Long.

Don't envy the obit writer. Of course, I could always go The Wire route and say "He was as big a pain in the ass as the rest of us." Cue the Pogues. Fade to black.

Oh, the obit writer had fun: [link]

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Sounds like Baltimore's own Huey Long.

Heh. Oh, New Orleans, I heart you SO MUCH.

My first anniversary is end of this week! :) I have not done nearly as much to my place as you have though.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

My cousin put a bug in my ear about starting my own business and while I think it would be a long shot for me to do, I have been doing a bit of research and brainstorming tonight. My mother on the other hand is so stressed about my unemployment that she spends hours a day looking for jobs.
